Ikuzo Ramen @ SS2

If you're looking for cheap and healthy Ramen, Ikuzo Ramen is one of your choices to be put under consideration. I been passing by this shop a multiples time but don't have chance to try it yet until last night. It located beside Mc Donald SS2.

The menu front cover pretty unique. Look's like some newspaper or propaganda going on. They heavily promote their Ramen is MSG and any other soup artificial free.

Without wasting time both me and le gf ordered Cha Su Ramen, Spicy Ramen and also Gyoza. To my surprise their service is very fast. Not even five minutes after we ordered the food came. Thumb up on this ;)

* Cha Su Ramen RM9.80 *

So like the name suggested, the Cha Su Ramen contains five pieces of pork (Cha Su) with their signature shoyu soup. It also served together with seaweed and spring onion. Well honestly I dont feel their so called shoyu soup tasty. It taste like mild soy sauce. Guess some disappointment died on me but hey, actually overall it is still not bad. The cha su is a thumb up for me!

* Spicy Ramen RM9.50 *

In other way, le gf Spicy Ramen soup is spicy miso based. It is really just spicy and easily covered your taste bud. The ramen come with sweet corn, cha su, beancurd skin, spring onion and also seaweed.

* Gyoza RM4.80 *

Nothing to shout on the Gyoza. It just taste ok.

Overall we spend only RM31.90 on the meal. No tax included. Well, isn't it cheap? ;)

Santa’s Toys Outpost Setup at SStwo Mall this Christmas

You will be surprise because SSTwo Mall is becoming Santa Claus this coming Christmas season by rewarding all visitors with lucky draws and giveaways of the Season’s Most Coveted Gadgets worth over RM20,000.00!

In celebration of the season of giving, SStwo Mall truly brings to life the Christmas festive season with a larger than life Santa’s Toys Outpost built into its Main Atrium and Santa himself, on his motor-sleigh roving around the neighborhoods and local communities bringing festive joy and cheer to young and old alike.

With ‘It’s Almost Home’ as the mall’s motto SStwo has truly made it a season of giveaway for shoppers and visitors to the mall by offering a month’s long worth of festive promotions, free giveaways, weekly lucky draw and a grand prize draw at the mall from now till New Year.

Mr. Vincent Chong, Director of Operations for Asiamalls Sdn. Bhd. said, “Christmas is really one of the Mall’s favorite festive seasons and we really wanted to celebrate the essence and excitement of the period with a fun and whimsical take on Santa’s workshop which would excite not the young, but also the inner kids in grown-ups as well. Now’s definitely a great time to look out for our special activities ranging from Santa on his bike – coming around to your neighborhood to spread Christmas cheer or head down to the mall to check out our little outpost.”

He excitedly added, “More importantly, what really excites us about Christmas is that we’re really taking the opportunity to get into the spirit of giving by running multiple giveaways for our patrons and visitors to the mall from now till New Years! It’s really a Year End bonanza and giveaways that will excite all from young to old.”

Adding on, Mr Chong said “We’ve basically purchased the season’s latest Must Haves ranging from the much coveted Samsung Galaxy Note II, six units of the Samsung Galaxy SIII, a Samsung Galaxy Tab Two 10.1 and not to mention, a home entertainment system comprised of a Panasonic 50” Plasma TV, Philips Blu Ray Disc HTS, Sharp Plasma Cluster Air Purifier and a Philips Micro HiFi CD MP3 USB player all for giveaway!”

Mr Chong was on hand to give away the Samsung Galazy SIII to first weekly winner at SStwo Mall’s Lucky Draw. During the prize giving ceremony, Chong Yen Ni, 21, was excited beyond belief at the Christmas present come early for her.

“This was the first time I had entered in a competition so I didn’t think I’d actually win! I come to the mall as it’s very convenient for me and usually have dinner here with my family. Having just finished my exam, this is a great Christmas and post-exam treat. I will definitely be entering in the rest of the contests.”

With one Samsung Galaxy SIII already given out, there still remains a whole slew of prizes up for grabs. All one really needs to do is head down to the mall, grab a bite or shop and fill up an entry form to qualify for one of the many giveaways this season. An ideal spot for special occasions and daily needs, SStwo Mall thrives to bring convenience and comfort in the heart of the Petaling Jaya community.

Sushi Tomo @ SS2

Well, had pretty stress and bad day on Monday. I guess I am like that. Whenever I am in bad mood, I tend to use food to cure it. Initially wanted to go a Ramen shop in SS2 but I give up after looking at the Pasar Malam mess. Thus, brought deary to dinner at Sushi Tomo, located at same row with Wong Kok Restaurant.

I never noticed this shop until I pass by that day. I am that kind of weird felor because I dislike dining in at Sushi King, Sakae, Zanmai or whatever you name it that located in shopping mall. I love to give a try on this kind of shop because who know, there might be a hidden gem?

Well, it not exactly has wide selection choice of Sushi and other Japanese Food. Not much on my favourite food and not to mention no pork. Le sigh.

* Chicken Katsu Don RM15.50 *

In the end I decided to ordered what I like most, Chicken Katsu Don. The portion, price and taste pretty same with Sushi Zen that I had. Nothing to shout about. It just nice and alright.

* Seafood Tan Tan Men RM15.50 *

Deary ordered the Seafood Tan Tan Men. The soup is full with spiciness and easily make us sweat. However she dislike it and said nothing special.

* Inari RM2.90 *
* Tamago RM2.90 *
* I-Forgot-What-Name RM3.90 *

We did ordered some Sushi from there. Of course, my favourite Inari is one of them and the taste again, just alright. They just make it right. Tamago abit sweet though but still tolerated able by me. The another one I-Forgot-What-Name taste nice as well.

* A picture of us ❤ *

Overall, it just another alright Japanese shop which par against those in shopping mall. Well, at least it wasn't pack and had pretty good environment. I feel comfortable dining in there.

Picture all taken with Samsung EX2F.

One Recipe Cafe Food Review @ SS2

How many of you like to eat Fish Head Noodle but hardly find a decent and favourable? Fear not! OneRecipe at SS2 prepared a variety of Fish Head Noodle. It is not the ordinary noodle you ever had! Courtesy to Kianfai & Steven I am given chance to review it.

Lets start from the snack/side dishes. Honestly I love all this so much. It is not too oily yet the taste are much better than the usual you get from outside. Thumb up to all the snack!

* Penang Lobak RM6.90 *
* Fried Fish Ball RM6.90 *
* Fried Fish Paste RM6.90 *
* Fried Salad Seafood Roll RM6.90 *
* Fried Dumpling RM6.90 *
* Fried Dragon Prawn Ball RM6.90 *

Now for the main course!

* King Crab Fish Head Mee Hoon RM23.80 *

No doubt the crab in King Crab Fish Head Mee Hoon is very big and fresh! It just make betina ate none stop and she alone whack almost all the crabs. Unfortunately, the soup doesnt have what it suppose to have, the crabs taste.

* Fresh Prawn Fish Head Mee Hoon RM16.90 *

As for the Fresh Prawn & Fish Head Mee Hoon, the soup taste is much better than the King Crab Fish Head Mee Hoon. It has prawn taste of course ;) Other than that nothing to shout of.

* Curry Flavour Fresh Prawn Fish Head Mee Hoon RM16.90 *

Curry flavour Fresh Prawn & Fish Head Mee Hoon not really spicy. It taste like laksa as well. Not really my favourite since I don't like laksa taste ;P

* Tom Yam Flavour Fresh Prawn Fish Head Mee Hoon RM16.90 *

Finally, my favourite gonna be Tom Yum flavour Fresh Prawn & Fish Head Mee Hoon. The tom yam soup is just nice - not too spicy nor sour. Highly recommended for tom yam lover!

Overall, it is a very pleasing lunch time with friends. Of course, courtesy of One Recipe Cafe, I can have some giveaway to my dear readers. Yes I know I rarely did any giveaway so as a part of my appreciation, let's get it!! Find it out more how in my Facebook ;)

Of course, beside fish head noodle, You all can enjoy some coffee and toast from One Recipe Cafe ;)

UFO Desserts Review

Was invited for UFO dessert review on a very fine Saturday afternoon. Saw the shop few time when i pass by SS2 (located same row with CIMB Bank) but unfortunately i had no chance to try it out. But here is the chance now!

Nowdays Taiwanese dessert is growing like a mushroom in KL. Too many choices, too headache dunno where and what to get. But fear not, UFO Desserts is almost all in 1 shop! No more confusion which shop to get, be ready to choose what you gonna get here.

UFO Desserts prepared various choices of Ice series, Milk Tea and also some snack. We ordered and eat alot that day, thus i not able to shoot too much since everyone fighting for d pictures ;/ But, i dislike their Winter Melon tea...taste not good enough

Not gonna compare this with other shop like snowflake or chatime, but i gonna said that UFO Desserts have more choices and topping for their Ice series. Pricing wise, it is slightly cheaper too and affordable.

Will return here again with friends ;)
