Camera For My Beloved

Still remember my previous post regarding the Lumix TZ-8? It was for this purposes actually. My gf been wanting a DSLR (oh yes is dslr) for quite some time but she not willing to spend money to get it as in she afraid she will seldom use it and leave it wif fungus.

Thus i made up my mind and decision to save/earn hard to get her a camera. Well, i dun plan to get her DSLR since i knew most girl dun like to carry a big ass around everytime everywhere. Thus i start researching from compact camera to semi pro camera. Which affordable for me la of coz.

After pick drop and pick drop, finally i made up my mind and get her Panasonix Lumix DMC TZ-10! I pick TZ-10 instead of TZ-8 coz i couldn't find TZ-8 at market..wtf..i trying to fool my gf actually by giving her the model of Tz-8. Wanted to c her funny reaction 1st b4 giving her the real 1. But she is too smart to realize it was fake b4 she open the wrapper. Coz she stalk my twitter previously..geez

Well, TZ-10 might not as great as LX3 but the reason i pick TZ-10 over LX3 coz of this few factors :

1) TZ10 got 300mm zoom and LX3 got 60mm zoom only
2) TZ10 lighter and smaller - can fit in pocket
3) TZ10 movie capability is 30fps and LX3 24fps
4) TZ10 is cheaper than LX3 though by chip in abit i can get LX3
5) TZ10 got RED color and LX3 dun have XD
6) TZ10 got GPS

However, mayb the fact i mentioned is not a big deal for certain ppl. What's d difference between TZ10 and LX3?

1) LX3 got a better f stop (2~2.8) compare to TZ10 (3.3~4.9)
2) LX3 got 1 higher ISO stop, 3200 compare to TZ10, 1600
3) LX3 got hot shoe to put flash
4) LX3 support RAW
5) LX3 wider (24mm) than TZ10 (25mm)

other than tat, TZ10 is pretty cool camera. I guess the main reason also coz of the ability to zoom till 300mm. The only things doesnt impress me is the noise reduction. Is kinda sucks when ISO 400 and above was use. Well, i guess it doesnt matter if the photo wasn't for large printing purposes.

Finally, i am glad my gf love this camera :D..and i was joking about selling off my dslr and get this camera instead. I still love my Baby KonKon alot :P

I spend my 2 days on doing this model using modeling board. Why am i doing this model? Hehe God know :P

Ip Man 2 Premier Screening

After his victory over the Japanese General in Foshan, Ip Man (Donnie Yen) moves to Hong Kong. He sets up a martial arts school to teach Wing Chun. Here, he is challenged by other kung fu masters, including Sifu Hung (Sammo Hung) who masters in Hung Quan. Sifu Hung and Ip Man draw a tie in their challenge and the latter is adored as a recognized master in Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, Twister, the powerful but cruel boxer champion who despised Chinese kung fu destroyed the fruit market and harassed the kung fu institutes. Twister, who also resulted in Sifu Hung’s death, then challenged the Chinese kung fu masters for a public combat. Ip was filled with grief and indignation and he decided to take up the challenge. He swore to claim back the dignity of Chinese kung fu and the Chinese people. A furious fight is about to begin...

I never watch Ip Man the 1st wan. Thus, i cant compare which is better. As my personal opinion, the movie story was good. The only things i dun like was lack of character development. Perhap they adi developed it at 1st and ignore it at here? Nevertheless, i love the action in this movie. I heard it was real fighting and yea! Damn nice especially the fat san mou yeng sao tat attack in high agile! :p

Ice Kacang Puppy Love <初恋红豆冰> Movie

Went to this movie with Pei Li last fri, Ice Kacang Puppy Love <初恋红豆冰>. Is local production and surprisingly is Ah Niu directed :D

Ice Kacang Puppy Love is a profoundly emotional tale of teenager's puppy love, parental love, generation gap, truth and make-believe. Set in a unique small town of 1980's Malaysia, the story evolves between a nice but shame boy - Botak and a brave and adventurous girl - Da Jia Yu.

I love this movie :D! As a local production it was not as bad as i though. However i felt Ah Niu character wasn't as outstanding as Lee Sinje, Gary Cao and Ping Guan. Same goes to Fish Leong character. Her 1 on only dialog in whole movie was "OIII!!"..LOL..I love Gary Chow character the most! He is totally joker in the whole movie. Ah not to mention Nicholas Teo and Penny Tai appeared as cameo when the movie about to end.

When In Rome Movie

Di di mentioned that i spend my very 1st 12 hours wif my uni friends? beside having dinner at Yakiniku, we went for late night movie yo! We watch When In Rome at Midvalley.

Well this movie is not bad but comedy not as good as i expected. However is perfect some couple watch i guess ;P. Love one of the scene throughout the whole show where the car was smaller than kancil and can fit in the lift! hahaha

Yakiniku Strike Back! Round 2

I went to Yakiniku again on thurs with my friends. Tried to introduce them the pork at this shop and all of them gave thumb up! Besides pork, i am given a chance to try other types of BBQ and ala carte food as well.

Canon 550D Animatic

Although i love to design, but without realizing most of the things i design was character. Thus, i do admit i not reli good in other expect such as background, interior and etc.

However, i am taking a subject call Animation Studies where we study deeply everything about story board, character design, proposal and a very new things for me, Animatics.



What is Animatics? In animation and special effects work, the storyboarding stage may be followed by simplified mock-ups called "animatics" to give a better idea of how the scene will look and feel with motion and timing. At its simplest, an animatic is a series of still images edited together and displayed in sequence. More commonly, a rough dialogue and/or rough sound track is added to the sequence of still images (usually taken from a storyboard) to test whether the sound and images are working effectively together.

Thus, my final assignment for this subject was create a commercial for a product. We can choose any product we like as well as the genre. Thus, i choose Canon 550D product.

Why Canon 550D? well it was the latest product from Canon anyway XP. Anyway, hope u guys enjoy the Animatic i did. The video from youtube was totally off. It was perfect when i export it to MOV file but when i convert to AVI file, the timing of frames totally off.

3D Interior Modeling

Finally 2 of my assignment/presentation down by last week. I felt my shoulder very light as in the burden was gone. It was my 2nd year in 3D Animation course and this sem was my very first time doing 3D. It also my vest first 3D work (yea previously i sucks using Maya).

As in for this sem, our final assign for this class is interior design in 3D. So, i went victor house to took pic last few month ago.

His house very nice rite? But i guess i do have bad taste wif interior. I admit i seldom look on those interior magazine or whatsoever. Thus, this is my final result of my 3D modeling.

Yea is like comparing earth and heaven..sigh..still, i'll work hard start from today. I need explore and study more everything around our life and make it as references for myself!

Gatsby Deodorant Street Fair

This would be Malaysia (or mayb whole world?) largest blogger gathering in history! can u imagine a single location can allocated 516 (more or less) bloggers under one roof? Seriously is awesome and thumb up to Nuffnang for this event!

The event take place at Time Square from 10am to 5pm. Registration start sharp on 10am and the place was packed wif bloggers! This event was recorded in Malaysia Book of Records as well for being the largest blogger gathering. In addition, there was special crew from TV9 as well.

For the 7 hours none stop, all can enjoys the various game prepares by Gatsby. Like funfair, if u score/win the game, u actually can get urself points to exchange with prize at the counter. For eg here are some of the exciting games :
