ParaNorman 3D Premier Screening

Courtesy to Nuffnang, I get to watch ParaNorman before it release in cinema.

The film is about Norman, a 13-year-old boy who is the only person in a small town that has the abilities to prevent an attack from zombies.

Honestly, I feel all the funny part and the story as well was actually shown in the trailer. Thus, I expecting least on the movie but yet, I am actually anticipating it since it was a Stop Motion film! I bet kids nowdays don't even know what is Stop Motion anymore. It is nice to see Laika Studio trying to go back traditional way rather than going mainstream.

Eventhough it is Stop Motion style, don't get fool by it! It is really very smooth. Too smooth to believe it was actually a stop motion. Thus I have no complain on the animation. Character was well designed and interesting too.

The only disappointment I had was, WHY ONLY 7 ZOMBIE! and since the Zombie are cursed, they actually don't harm human..oh well, unexpected. Plus, Norman has ability to see ghost but he afraid of Zombie. In addition, it only shown he can see and talk with ghost at the beginning of the show. Towards the end, where are all the ghost? Why they not helping Norman?

Other than that, I actually has no complain on the story. It is nice, well done. I love the witch electricity effect. It was awesome! I wonder it is done by CG or really doll, need ask uncle Google later.

Nevertheless, bring your kid to watch this movie. I am sure they will enjoy it ;) Of course, you could easily enjoy too with the cute character and the traditional movie style. Feel so nostalgic lol oh btw, 3D? no thanks. Not so eye-popping

FrapTV Video - Midnight Delivery

It just happen suddenly when Ernest suddenly approached us with smiley face and said "Hey guys! I got an idea! Just a quick shooting! Just gathered on Friday and start shooting". This cause all of us in deep thinking what idea Ernest have? He refuse to reveal it until Friday night.

Yeap, everyone, FrapTV present another video this month, Midnight Delivery. Ok ironically the script originally don't have the title :P The title was decided when I am done editing the first version of this video and uploaded to YouTube, it was already midnight. Thus, i told them "Midnight delivery! *throw youtube link*" and they said "Hey nice title! I like it" LOL :P Random quote is always awesome. Anyway! Enjoy!!

Well, I did a huge mistake when i deleted all Behind The Scene video :( sigh... Nevertheless, only left pics to do the talking.

Dancing? Nah it will never is my thing. I cant dance at all. Not even listed in d guy who did a video in youtube, "How to Dance in The Club" from part one until part three. But, I finally dance for the first time! sorta...

Been into fruitful weekend since I am happy manage to do some stuff I never dream to be. I guess I starting to put interest in and wish to explore more. Well, at least it is awesome weekend for my own achievement until some stuff totally kill off the mood and feeling.

Well, gotta overcome it...not on my own, but with you.

The Samsung I9300 Galaxy S III is officially unpacked on last night in Malaysia, One Utama Hotel Kuala Lumpur. I am lucky enough to be one of the guy who manage to hands on on the device before it officially on sales.

There is no internet around and sadly i couldn't conduct test such as S Voice and web browsing. But what really impressed me are the camera. Being 8mp shooter, i gotta admit it has rich color and sharp image.

Whats more? Zero shutter lag that make u spam like nobody business, 3.3fps when in burst rate. Same goes to front facing camera, it has zero shutter lag and that tiny 1.9mp sensor has ability to record 720p video.

The Pop Up Play is good for people who always love to watch video. Well probably not me. I am those kind watch video on phone once in a blue moon. Do notice that the TouchWiz is pretty smooth compare to other Samsung model. Thumb up to Samsung for finally tweak and enhance their UI.

Nevertheless, Samsung galaxy S III indeed a great phone with highest specification ever u can find. I wish i could get a unit from Samsung or Nuffnang so that I could give a full review on it. Who know? So stay tune on my site k? ;P

FrapTV Video - Happy Mother's Day: A Gift for the Modern Mum

As i hinted yesterday in my post, FrapTV is releasing new video soon. So here we are, a simple yet heart warming story for coming occasion, Mother's Day :)

It is our first proper video. Shoot with my Olympus E-P3 (pair with 12mm and 14-54mm lens) and also Joel Nikon D5100, very nice to use the flip screen! The script is written by the main character, Ken Wooi. Big applause to him! Of course, it is nice working together with Ernest, who can be director and guide us from the head till end.

My Generasi - Being Superheroes Behind the Scene

Last time in University, i always wanted to have a team of production to create a short animation or short film. Why? Because i love film/movie. It is d reason why I took 3D animation (which i pretty sure i am cool in doing movie production as well). However stuff doesnt went to my wish. However, this year, i found gems among my friends. We form a small groups (known as FrapTV) and started of our very first project, My Generasi for JinnyBoy contest. We made it :D our very first video production.

To answer all your doubt and question, we the location at the shooting place was Yippy Cup and the park outside One Utama. I think it is first time for Eric tried to make a film on his own. Well, if you want to know, he is the one who hold the cameras and write the script as well. Thumb up for him ;)

 

 

 

I pick up the editing part since i got free time LOL..too lifeless this few days but great to have something on hand to work on. Spend 3 night editing and yupz, it might look normal editing but is not easy to edit sound that came out from a phone. I tried to make it as close as if it came out from external mic.

 

 

 

Too bad, the bloody youtube screw up the sound. If u watch the video it has ZzzZzzz sound. I wonder it is because i set too high bit rate and youtube couldn't take it. Oh well, learn my mistake and will be aware for next time.

Imagination

For me, everyone do imagine. Imagination is a very powerful Intellectual Properties that belong to everyone. However, i guess when we grown up, our imagination has become limited. Maybe the way we think has become more logic thanks to science fact. Maybe it is the reality and cruel world pull us back from dare to imagine and dreaming.

However, I guess it is pretty nice if you are full with imagination. You could be innovative and creative as well. This is what i seriously need for my line of job. Anyway, i go through the youtube and stumble across a video by Sony Mobile. It is an advertisement for Sony Xperia S based on imagination. Who is the most imaginative? Children of course. Sony dare to combine all the children ideas and imagination into their own ads.

You might say not impressive or what, but for me. It was a nice imagination :) You see, I just love to see creative stuff. Hope i could learn more on this..shall really start think out of the box once in a while. Anyway, here are the full ads if you are wondering where you can get it ;)

A Journey to Yingzi 18th Birthday : 3D2N in Singapore!

It was her birthday last week and few of us who crazily went to Singapore all d way just to celeb Yingzi birthday! Took bus from TBS (Terminal Berpadu Selatan) together with Jeremy, Vic and Sam. Sam ended up forgot bring his passport when we almost reach Johor LOL...seriously EPIC moment to all of us. Nevetheless he returned on next day together with Kate ;) Nice guy isn't it?

Reached SG at night and 3 of us had our supper below Yingzi apartment. They had very fehmes "Bak Chor Mee" AKA Pork Mee. No doubt the pork is nice! But i dun like d sambal they mix wif d mee. Seriously very spicy till can dai! We also had Satay and Durian after tat..uhh Hyper Double BBQSAUCE sin for having such foods on 12am T_T

 

 

Had our first night in Yingzi house. And there Jeremy who seriously tired till can sleep like tat.

On the next day, Yingzi brought us to the hotel she booked for her birthday party. While on the way there, i told all them i am amaze with the hotel that had ship on top the roof and casino inside. I dunno what d hotel called until the Taxi driver said tats Marina Bay Sand hotel and we like WTF!? Thats d freaking awesome hotel tat Yingzi booked for her party! woops! Never expect we get in to that hotel :D

 

 

It cost her 1200SGD to rent a suite for a night! OMGBBQSAUCE so fucking expensive T__T..but no doubt the room is nice :D I'll show u d video i recorded in the room ;P Below the hotel they had shopping mall and Casino. I did enter the casino on d midnight itself when i was tipsy like hell with Jeremy. It was freaking huge with 2 floors and damn alot table LOLL

 

Oh and here the video of the suite. It was seriously awesome ;) until Vic said she can sleep in the bath tube wtf hahah and Yingzi camwhore at there LOLL

Another thing i love about this hotel was the swimming pool on top the roof! woops it is freaking awesome u get to swim while enjoy they nice scenery on top of there :D

 

And then the party start at night! She invited alot guests..most of them are SG bloggers of coz ;) My 2nd time with the gang after long ago Nuffnang Awards.

 

 

 

We party like no tomorrow! Drinking, card game, Sam horny dance and movies! Everyone totally koed after the drinking game around 3am++

Those are reli crazy party i ever had :D never regret go down all the way to SG for that! And thanks for Yingzi too for everything. Happy Birthday again ;) u r 18th *wink wink*

The day before we depart back to KL, we forced her to read in Malay..hahaha
