Percy Jackson : Sea of Monsters Premier Screening

Courtesy to Churpchurp, I get to watch Percy Jackson : Sea of Monsters Premier Screening, the second sequel for Percy Jackson % The Olympian : The Lightning Thief.

Based on the best-selling book, PERCY JACKSON: SEA OF MONSTERS continues the young demigod’s epic journey to fulfill his destiny. To save their world, Percy and his friends must find the fabled and magical Golden Fleece. Embarking on a treacherous odyssey into the uncharted waters of the Sea of Monsters, they battle terrifying creatures, an army of zombies, and the ultimate Evil.

Honestly I am disappointed with this movie. If I would use a chart to represent this movie, it is flat! The movie lack of hard boiled journey, suspense and character development. Weak storyline as well if I may add in.

The title Sea monster doesn't refer to the monster they gonna battle, but is the place where Luke gonna resurrect Titan leader, Kronos. I am disappointed! The Titan Kronos suppose to be powerful but he is easily killed by Percy with his almighty father, Poseidon sword. I just gave a BOO on the movie boss and the OX at the earlier movie seem be much better boss than Kronos.

Of cource, ending of the movie hinted another sequel of the movie. Oh god, I almost fell asleep when watch this movie. I find myself rather enjoy watching The Smurfs 2 on previous day. Percy Jackson : Sea of Monsters will be available at local cinema by tmrw!

Now You See Me Premier Screening

Courtesy to Churpchurp I am given chance to watch Now You See Me Premier Screening before it release at cinema.

The project is described as a thriller that pits a crack FBI squad in a game of cat-and-mouse against a super-team of the world's greatest illusionists, who pull off a series of daring bank heists during their performances, showering the profits on their audiences while staying one step ahead of the law.

This would be my first magic show type movie. Pretty good and thumb up to the movie! Watching all the magic trick as if I am watching live show of magician performing in front of me. Hey magician doing crime using magic. Isn't it awesome?

Story wise pretty decent and acceptable with abit twist at the end. However plothole still everywhere. One of them would be why interpol sent a girl (Alma Vargas) who did paper work only handle the case? It was mentioned once in the movie with Dylan Rhodes questioning about it but later on the reason wasn't mention. Out of sudden both of them can fall in love as well. Other than that, I do love how they unveiled all their magic tricks in the movie. Sound unbelievable but this what all illusion about.

Character wise definitely Jesse Eisenberg my favorite. Love the way he talk fast with confident. It sound cocky and insulting as well. I like Mark Ruffalo character too for being look abit dumb and blur face all the way. I guess he got the natural blur face :P

Nevertheless, Now You See Me definitely a movie that worth your money ;)

Star Trek Into Darkness 3D Premiere Screening

Courtesy to Churpchurp, I am invited to Star Trek Into Darkness Premiere Screening before it release in local cinema. Well, I am not a huge fans of Star Trek because I watch their series until lost track. However, it is a science fiction, I still went ahead and watch it :)

When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.

Thumb up to the movie! I just realize it is first movie since back to 1982 there is a Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan LOL so expected to predict the whole movie is about how Khan get wrath on 2nd movie. Just kidding. Overall very entertaining, full with humors and not so exaggerated action. Awesome cast, awesome actors and actresses and awesome character development. CG wise has no complain. It is science, futuristic and space!

Get alot weird censorship and awkward cut during the whole movie. Just some awkward jump cut for no reason. Got nude scene ah?

Though Khan suppose it a superhuman, I just don't get it why he can't finish Spock immediately. It seem like he just running away instead of deliver a heavy blow to Spock, break his bone, squash his head. Vulcan got higher defense rate? LOL The story doesn't show what happen to Khan later on. Perhaps I should watch second movie to find out.

Star Trek geek! It is a must watch movie for you all :)

Parental Guidance Premier Screening

Courtesy to Nuffnang I get to watch Parental Guidance Premier Screening before it release at cinema.

Artie and Diane agree to look after their three grandkids when their type-A helicopter parents need to leave town for work. Problems arise when the kids' 21st-century behaviors collide with Artie and Diane's old-school methods.

Love it or hate it, this film are meant to be comedy yet heart warming, well not exactly too heart warming. Just a perfect movie for people who need laughter and release stress. However the dynamic of the movie wasn't impactful enough.

The chemistry between the grandchildren and the grandparent can be more to create better emotion. But then, it is comedy afterall and maybe the director wasn't on this direction. Other than that, Billy Crystal still look so freaking young!! Doesn't look like a grandpa at all ;/

Overall, simple and just alright movie for everyone.

Pitch Perfect Premier Screening

Courtesy to Churpchurp I get to watch Pitch Perfect Premier Screening last night.

Beca (Anna Kendrick) is that girl who'd rather listen to what's coming out of her headphones than what's coming out of you. Arriving at her new college, she finds herself not right for any clique but somehow is muscled into one that she never would have picked on her own: alongside mean girls, sweet girls and weird girls whose only thing in common is how good they sound when they sing together, in the new out-loud comedy Pitch Perfect. When Beca takes this acoustic singing group out of their world of traditional arrangements and perfect harmonies into all-new mash-ups, they fight to climb their way to the top of the cutthroat world of college a cappella. This could wind up either the coolest thing they'll ever do or the most insane, and it will probably be a little of both. Loaded with new takes on old favorites to hits of right now that are seamlessly mixed together, mashed-up and arranged like you've never heard before, Pitch Perfect is directed by Jason Moore, who opened our eyes to the very misbehaved life of puppets in the surprise Broadway sensation Avenue Q.

One word! Awesome! Totally in love all the a cappella inside the movie though some are obviously fake. But hey, it is still cool and awesome music! Totally recommended to all song lover.

Storyline pretty normal. Straight forward like the usual tradition plot - get defeated in competition, want to revenge, group of people singing/practise, fall in love, enter final competition and win. I guess it is hardly breakthrough the plot for this kind movie.

Not much character development on everyone and everything is progressing too fast. I got some love and hate feeling on Anna Kendrick as Beca in the movie. Kinda dislike the make up but hey I love her smile. She look unique with her smile. Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson) doesn't really contribute much beside being joker in the movie. But oh well, all this small little stuff do spice up the movie.

Movie will be release in cinema this today. Catch some movie with ya lover and you guys might ending up sing together, maybe?

Paranormal Activities 4 Premier Screening

Courtesy to Nuffnang I get to watch Paranormal Activities 4 Premier Screening before it release on cinema this coming Thursday.

It has been five years since the disappearance of Katie and Hunter, and a suburban family witness strange events in their neighborhood when a woman and a mysterious child move in.

So, the demon from pedo-ing Katie since she was children until she grown and shift to Hunter and on this instalment the demon pedo another kid, Wyatt. What an awesome pedomon. Not to mention director is smart enough cast Kathryn Newton as Alex and get most attention in the movie, get pedo by pedomon.

Ok back to serious thing. This instalment wasn't as scary as previous 3. It was pretty straight forward where the pedomon really wanna kill all of them and possessed to Wyatt instead of play some bed sheet, swing the lamp and pulling people leg. Overall, bored and useless sequel. Trailer cheating again.

The whole paranomal activities is getting more confusing. From the first 3 instalment it seem that the pedomon only possessed on Katie but in this sequel it see that Robbie (or hunter?) got as well and passesed it to Wyatt (who later claim himself as hunter). In the end of the movie a bunch of human (or zombie?) that seem possessed by pedomon appeared. Are the pedomon collecting an army of human to invade earth? Will that happen on Paranormal Activities 50? Stay tune and watch.

Not my favourite sequel so far. Catch this in cinema this Thursday if you're interested.
