Of course, all review are based on my own user experience. Thus, it may sound not professional or general like what you seen on other tech website. You are free to agree ot disagree on my point of view :) Design : 6/10
Samsung Galaxy S III tried to be totally difference design from it's other sibling, Galasy S II and Galaxy S. However, I just cant help it but feel the curvy design too resemble HTC design. Honestly speaking, it do remind me of HTC Sensation XL. Again, I am not fans of light phone.
Display : 7/10
Packed with 720p resolution and also Super AMOLED HD, no doubt Samsung Galaxy S III has the best display around. But, i guess it is only me dislike the Super AMOLED HD display. It look saturated...over saturated. It is very eye pleasure when viewing videos or playing games on phone. But I am not satisfy when come to viewing pictures i took using the cam. It look nice from the phone but once I transfer to pc, it the color are wash out.
Camera(s) : 8/10
I have complain everything I want about the camera on Part 3 post. Feel free to check out the reason. The front camera is very well performed but image come out quite soft as well.
Reception / call quality : 9/10
Very good! I have no complain about this. After all this is what phone should be, or else I really have nth to say.
Performance : 10/10
It is quad core Exynos clocked on 1.4ghz speed. It is blazing fast, does not lag nor hang. No doubt, it is totally perfect.
Software : 6/10
Again, i mentioned that i actually dislike TouchWiz UI. Beside it is ugly, i felt that it is not smooth. Sadly, good hardware when pair with bad software, it cant boost up the full potential of the devices. Wasted the ICS as well.
Battery life : 7/10
Well, I am not really a hardcore phone user unless, when i am not in front a computer then i will use it to tweet, check email or browse some web none stop. On 3G continuous usage on that, the battery can last me about 4 hours. However, when I used it moderately, it can last me around 10-12 hours.
Overall Score : 53/70 = 75.7%
Yups, this phone score 75.7% for my personal review. Not bad actually. If only I could appreciate the design and software more, then it will have higher score.
It is no doubt, camera has become one of the important features in mobile phone world now. My prediction, it will replacing consumer compact camera soon. So question now is, is Samsung Galaxy S III ready to replace your compact camera? Let's find out.
After watching the video. I am pretty sure you have rough idea how well Samsung Galaxy S III camera performed in terms of still images or videos. Personally, I never though of using phone camera to replace my camera. Camera still a camera and mobile camera still a mobile camera. Having small sensor camera in mobile phone still a big disadvantages, unless you are talking about Nokia Pureview 808 which i wish to hands on and review it ;P
So, whenever i hands-on on a camera, the first thing i love to test was ISO. I love to see the noise quality, the sharpness and color using dif set of ISO. This is what i get for Samsung Galaxy S III.
I gotta praise Samsung Galaxy S III do produced very nice image. In the same time, I do hate the fact it is really inconsistent when come to shooting with surrounding light. As i mentioned, the image tend to be softer, color wash out and not sharp with back lighting or indoor light.
In the video, i mentioned as well i dislike the physical design. Maybe because i have small palm. It would be nice if they could consider a physical shutter button or at least, touch capture function on the camera mode. Oh last thing, hate the overblast LED flash eventhough i set it to fill light mode.
Other than that, I have no problem using Galaxy S III and quite satisfied with the images. The color are good enough when on daylight, look natural and vibrant. However when come to indoor or lowlight, the lighting tend to be warmer and of course noise are pretty visible due to high ISO usage.
Pretty happy with close up shot too. It can produce sharp image.
There are no perfect camera. There are always pros and cons. It is always about whether you're ready to live with it or not. Being in competitive world, I am curious how Samsung Galaxy S III camera perform compare to other manufacture. I manage to use friends iPhone 4S for a quick test. Check it out.

Obviously Sony who are famous with their cyber shot camera phone and now with EXMOR R sensor in their latest Xperia phone - famous for low light. How does it perform compare with Samsung Galaxy S III? Unfortunately i do not have latest Sony Xperia NXT phone to compare, thus i used my Xperia Neo to do the comparison. Both are 8mp shooter. So, year 2011 phone VS year 2012 phone ;)

I wish to have HTC One X to compare too unfortunately I don't. Well too bad.
Been playing the Samsung Galaxy S III for few days. Being an Android lover, I have actually tested Samsung, HTC and Sony phone before. I have been always amaze on Samsung until i have encounter Sony phone, which totally capture my heart. However, this time I am given a chance to hold Samsung phone again. So, will Samsung manage to win my heart over again? Let's find out.
Lets start with stuff i hate from Samsung. Mainly are the user interface (UI) - TouchWiz. It is pretty much similar to iOS and not to mention, ugly in my point of view. TouchWiz doesnt provide me pleasant experience when using it. However, the Samsung Galaxy S III running latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich, 4.0.4 skinned with the latest TouchWiz as well.
Yes, the latest TouchWiz really does perform better and smoother compare to other Galaxy series (Take Galaxy S II as example, it is very very lag despite running dual core) phone that still running old TouchWiz but, it still look ugly to me. It doesnt resemble any ICS at all which I couldn't appreciate it. Of course, it just my perception. There are alot people are fine with TouchWiz because it is simple.
Next is the keyboard. I have no idea why the keyboard pretty sucks. Text prediction came out randomly even before i finish type my words - especially when i am typing friends name. Swype features doesnt perform up to my expectation. IMHO, Sony gesture input for keyboard perform much better and accurate.
Next are more towards to physical design. The Samsung Galaxy S III are sleek but huge. Features 4.8 inch screen and 8.6mm thickness, the weight of Samsung Galaxy S III only 133 g. I am not a big fans of thin and light phone. I love my phone had certain weight so that I could feel better when it is on my hand. I guess girls will love thin and light phone.
Follow up by the physical button on bottom, the home button. It is pretty frustrated to press the button because it is too small and not so responsive it suppose to be. Not to mention, it was positioned into too low position. Would it be better if centralize it?
The camera for Samsung Galaxy S III was pretty inconsistent as well. Well i guess i better leave this in my coming review, a post that dedicated for Samsung Galaxy S III camera only.
Finally, the S Voice. It was really meant as direct competitor for iOS SIRI, however, it seem it can done less than what SIRI did. You cant have casual chat with S Voice. It will reply you with "I dont understand what you mean by .... ". You cant ask it to call your girlfriend or wife like SIRI does. However, i do impressed the accuracy when you ask proper question. It does better than SIRI in certain aspect but, i still felt it is still a gimmick. I hardly open and use it since i believe i tap myself is much faster than waiting myself to speak with it and analyzing my voice, repeat after me and execute my command. Same goes to SIRI.
Of course, all the stuff i dislike from Samsung are mainly my own perception and point of view :) There are certain features I love it too. Check out my video review below.
Overall, Samsung Galaxy S III does perform much better than it's other Galaxy series. People who love hardware, benchmark and performances, Samsung Galaxy S III definitely can satisfied the craving. However people like me appreciated outer beauty and user experience, Samsung Galaxy S III couldn't really capture my heart full yet. I am still happy with my Sony Xperia Neo that rarely lag and still run smoothly despite being single core only.
Anyway, do stay tune to my next review, it is fully dedicated for Samsung Galaxy S III camera!
