Chinese Zodiac (十二生肖) Movie

It has been time since Jackie Chan return and act what he used to act in his old film. As a huge fans of Jackie Chan, I simply cant wait to catch this movie, Chinese Zodiac (十二生肖) a.k.a CZ12 movie. Well it is no strange since I watch Jackie Chan movie since I was young. I manage to attend his CZ12 (十二生肖) Malaysia Star Tour at Berjaya Time Square last night before catching up the movie at GSC MAXX.

The film revolves around Asian Hawk in his final mission, in which he must collect the 12 statue heads of the Chinese Zodiac to save the world. One may remember that Chan used the Chinese Zodiac symbols as the basis for the first season of his animated series, JACKIE CHAN ADVENTURES, back in 2000.

If you dunno, this is 3rd instalment of Armour of God (龍兄虎弟), a film started at 1986 and follow by another sequel, Armour of God II: Operation Condor in 1991. So it is nice to see Jackie Chan return and complete the trilogy of this series.

I was expecting more on this film but after watching it, it just gimme feeling a very Jackie Chan movie. Yes, it is a movie which reminded me alot his old movies. All the funny joke, comedy type action, grab item hit and run all are expected to seen in this movie. My personal favourite would be the scene he used Tripod mounted with Canon DSLR on it to hit his enemies.

Plot was pretty good at the beginning however towards the end feel pretty rush and leave abit disappointment. Middle of the show (where they at the island) feel very Indiana John where adventures and danger headed to them. Some Mission Impossible feel was in the movie as well.

Though it doesn't exactly leave a very huge WOW on me, I pretty much enjoy this movie. I bet alot Jackie Chan fans will feel this movie bring back their memories of his old movie like I just mention earlier. CZ12 (十二生肖) will be available at cinema this Thursday :)

Life of PI (3D) Movie

Been wanted to catch this movie before it release because i though "Hey Look! Pretty cool CG I must catch this!". Had some impromptu outing with deary on last Sunday and we finally get to catch this movie in GSC IMAXX. After watch the movie, it is not about CG that make me feel this movie is worth paying for..it is about the story and message inside this movie. Thumb up for this movie! It makes me feel like grab the book and read.

Based upon the bestselling book by Yann Martel, LIFE OF PI tells the story of a young man's incredible survival at sea against impossible odds. A remarkable technological breakthrough in 3D epic adventure, PI is an emotionally captivating experience that will inspire, touch and transport audiences to a place of discovery that they will never forget.

I dunno where should I start OMG. This movie is just completely perfect that I had no complain. Alright let's start from the 3D since I am catching it in GSC IMAXX. Well, not much eye popping 3D effect to be honest but I guess it is still recommended to catch it in IMAXX in 2D maybe? You have no idea how awesome it is to view it in big screen ;)

Next CG? Totally awesome and beautiful. All animals CG is believable. I catch up their behind the scene and the making and get to know Richard Parker (The Tiger) contain 10 million fur..Ohmai 10 mil fur is like need render for dunno how many weeks per frame if using my cacat PC.

The story, the scene and flow are well composed. Gotta give a thumb up to Ang Lee for being awesome director. Though some scene seem like just to show the beautiness of CG, but it actually contain some message inside. You had to be pretty observant to realize that.

Overall, it is great movie. A movie that leave alot doubt and discussion for people who really understand the whole movie. Just like PI told the reporter, it has 2 difference story. Depend which you believe which it reflect your own belief. A very meaningful movie indeed and I gotta grab the novel to read!

Della Ding Dang 丁噹 Meet The Fans @ Berjaya Time Square

Last Saturday, I spend half of my day at Berjaya Time Square. Beside accompanied Betina to shopping, I grab the opportunity to Della Ding Dang 丁噹 meet the fans session on 8pm! Everyone should know I am fans of her.

Unfortunately it was crowded the moment we reach there. It shown that fans over KL or maybe Malaysia come all the way to support her. Gratefully, I still manage to get a spot for my photography purposes.

The emcee of the night was none other than Victor Lee. My first time seeing him in person. He done a great job as emcee in entertaining the crowds. Of course, not forgetting Ding Dang 丁噹 who appear slightly later than the schedule ;) How I wish they actually duet a song on that night.

Ding Dang 丁噹 brought us five song on that night. The song are none other than - 好難得, 不是你的錯, 野獸, 下一站 and the hit song, 我愛他. It was amazing and listening she sing live really do touch my heart. Her voice was as beautiful as ever. Not to mention, she doesn't mind sharing her experience and story to everyone during the Q&A session with fans.

It was really an awesome night with Della Ding Dang 丁噹. What a way to spend my weekend. Honestly I feel sucks miss out her concert back to last few months. Hope I am bless with such opportunity again in future.

Arthur's Christmas Premier Screening

It is Christmas season!! Manage to catch up the Arthur's Christmas premier srceening with Marilyn last night.

This Christmas movie answers every child‟s question how can Santa get around the whole world in just one night? The answer is a gloriously technically advanced North Pole operation, featuring an army of one million field elves, a vast supersonic 'sleigh' and a huge control center under the ice of the North Pole. But even the most high-tech operation has a margin of error... When the gift delivery to just one child in six hundred million is missed, Santa and his super-capable son Steve deem it an "acceptable margin of error". But Arthur Christmas, the misfit youngest son can't bear it. In a crazy rookie mission he sets out to get the last present half way around the globe in the two hours before Christmas dawns. His comical adventure reunites the dysfunctional Santa family and saves the future of Christmas itself.

Don't have good impression on this movie after watching the teaser but hey, surprisingly the story is very well done! A very meaningful christmas story where, no kid should left out by Santa. The adventure, the obstacle and the challenge the face are pretty entertaining.

The style is very much like Charlie and the Chance of the Meatball. Well i am not surprise because both are made by Sony studip! They had their own significant style in animation i must say ;) Nevertheless, the 3D modeling, texturing and animation are very well done. Not to mention, the large scale modeling of the building are awesome!

Catch this movie! It will really bring you the Christmas feeling :)

Buddy Soy Smothies Food Review

I was invited for the food review on Buddy Soy Smoothies yesterday. It was located at Time Square, beside Chatime. As the name suggested, Buddy Soy Smoothies is a shop that sell drinks and dessert based on Soy. Isn't it perfect for those who love soy? ;)

* Father and Daughter Lee, owner of the shop *

Familiar faces around :)

* Janice and Isaac *

* Qian and Kahmon *

Here are the drinks and food served to us on that day itself :

* Cucuk Udang *

* Citrus Madness Orange RM5.30 *

* Soy Bean Milk RM2.80 *

* Coffee with Soy as based *

* Evergreen Japanese Cucumber RM5.30 *

* Corny but Goody Sweet Corn Rm4.80 *

* Tau Fu Far with Gula Melaka RM3.30 *

* Tau Fu Far RM2.80 *

* Yam with Soy as based *

* If you Can't Decide Banana RM5.30 *

* Cendol with Soy as based *

* Chocolate with Soy as based *

As i mentioned before, all drinks will have the Soy as based. So needed i say, all taste will mix with Soy. I would say it mix pretty well except there is some drinks such as Yam have stronger taste of Soy. One of my favourite drinks among there would be If You Can't Decide Banana because it has more stronger banana taste XP, oh yes i love banana :P

The price wise more or less same with recently famous-hype-up-pearl-milk-tea but i do believe having soy is more healthy than pearl milk tea ;)

Buddy Soy Smoothies will have new outlet soon in KL Festival City mall and One Utama. Don't miss it if you were around the area ;)

Thanks Tiffany for the invite!
