Sunny Garden Restaurant @ PV128, Setapal

I know I have not been writing about foods in my blog for long. Heck, I don't even update my blog as much as I used to be. Life is busy. So do check out me on other social media k? :P

Nevertheless, this flashy signage has been grabbing my attention since last week. What's make ir worst was it was so flashy that I couldn't even read the shop name until today, when I decided to give it a try. So yea, Sunny Garden that located in PV128. I heard they have awesome Gyoza and seafood.

On quick look, the shop is selling authentic foods from china. It doesn't have any pork as well and the shop is Halal despite doesn't have any sign of Jakim cert. Surprisingly the manager is a Muslim from Beijing who speak mandarin with us.

So I ordered Mutton Kuan Xin Noodles and deary took the Spicy Minced Meat Vermicelli (Rice Noodles). I try to have a quick google of what is Kuan Xin noodle (宽心面) but it doesn't shown any result unless... I know Chinese LOL.. But yea with limited knowledge on chinese, I found that Kuan Xin noodle is made from bean and is popular mostly in Northen China area - Shānxī lǚliáng (山西吕梁) and Shǎn běi (陕北). Of course if you guys know more about this noodle, feel free to comment below :D

* Spicy Minced Meat Vermicelli RM10 *

The spiciness from this noodle was from pepper and it is slightly similar to bone soup. Oh did I mentioned it is beef? The meat is so soft that as if it melt on your mouth once it entered. It is awesome! The portion is too big for my deary too.

* Mutton Kuan Xin Noodle RM10 *

As for myself, the mutton has great texture and chewy too. The Kuan Xi Noodle (if the noodle is what I think it is) looks like a super thicker version than Pan Mee. It also looks like 刀削面 (knives sliced noodle), so I am not really sure which is it :P Nevertheless, it is awesome!

Too used to eating pork Gyoza and this time around this Gyoza is special for me since it has both beef and mutton. Not to mentioned the Gyoza is slightly juicy inside. Worth giving it a try since Rm15 for 16 pieces is not expensive. Unfortunately, this is the only portion they offered. Oh did I mentioned that you actually can mixed the Gyoza in your plate as long as it cost the same price?

More or less, I'll consider this shop as hidden gem. It just opened not long in here and I felt it has potential. The price is affordable, drinks are free and foods are authentic. Beside noodles, they have rice too or you can try order dishes too.

The Country Pet Hotel - Cat Café @ Plaza Crystal Ville, Setapak

Ok this is something I delayed it on purpose. Because I just scratching my head on how to blog about this. As everyone know I am actually a dogs lover and I don't have any special feeling on cats. For me, dog are much cuter and much better being my companions. Cat are just bitch. Ok cat lover don't kill me k? :P

Nevertheless, claim to be Malaysia first cat cafe, The Country Pet Hotel located at Plaza Cristal Villa, Setapak or to be specific, Danau Kota. It located right behind the Columbia Hospital. The shop located right beside Pizza Hut, not easy to spot though. I have to make 2 rounds of turn before spotted it. So yea, I went the cafe together with deary, my sis, Ryan and Yeeing. Despite how much I bitch about cat, I am giving myself a chance to go near them.

Upon arrival, we been told each head will be charge for RM 14.90 and only allowed to stay for one hour. Uh well fair enough. Or else every cat lover just visit the cafe without paying nor ordering anything. Rm 14.90 charged, we get a free drinks from the menu. The drinks were huge disappointment. We were also required to sanitize our hands and also to change into slippers that were provided.

The moment I step in, the wtfbbqsauce moment came right into my mind. The layout of the cafe is small, smelly and dim. As Chinese proverb, "One eye see finish". Le sigh. There are total 6 cats in the room with 5 being same breed and another 1 long fur which I called it Cinaman because it's eye hardly open LOL

So what can you do in the cat cafe? You paid money go in, get a drinks and play with the cat. Well more like serving the cat in case if they are being passive LOL.. there are clothes and comb provided as well for the cat.

Overall, it is a huge disappointment on the cat cafe. I do think that I will have little interest on cat after went the cafe but guess I still love dogs more. Not to mentioned the cafe lack of quality drinks and also some minor facilities like a basin to wash hand after play with the cat? But of course, we are provided the same sanitizer when we were going out.

Christmas Lunch - Six Inch Cafe @ Setapak PV 128

Merry Christmas everyone! Well aren't we glad that the world hasn't end and we are still alive to looking forwards for new year and 2013. Nevertheless, it is Christmas today and being a guy who afraid of jam, I just decided to stay at home and rest my ass. At least, until le Betina came around for lunch together.

Six Inch Cafe just opened in Setapak few days ago. Being curious and new toilet bowl (san si hang), both me and le Betina tried this as our Christmas lunch. Well, I pretty love the open air concept at first but dining inside during lunch time is pure hot and easily sweat since they dun have air cond and only fans.

* Three Layer Milk Tea RM4.70 *

First thing first, the cafe was pretty crowded. No strange since it was lunch time and deep inside my heart I hope it is nice place to eat that's why so many people. However the waiter seem busy walking around and no time to entertained us. We tried to stop 1 of the waiter to enquiries the seat on upstair and they just walk pass by us as if we are invisible. Being abit pissed off, le betina and I decided to get our own seat at downstair and still, no waiter come around to serve us the menu despite they have enough man power. Some are just standing around the counter and act as statue. Finally we got our menu after we asked one of the waiter who happen to pass by our seat with 4 menus on his hand and he was ushering other people to their seat. DAFUQ! WHY YOU NO USHER ME!

* Ambra Juice RM5.90 *

Later both of me and Betina gotta wait more than 30 minute before out food are served. It took around 50 minites for mine and 105 minutes for le Betina. Honestly I don't realize time passed so fast since I am busy playing games on my phone until I recheck my check in time in my four square when my food come. Is it so hard to cook Chicken Maryland and Cheese Baked Spaghetti? There is a point we tried to raise hand for enquiries of our food and those waiters seem ignore us. Betina went to counter there and asked but got ignored.

* Chicken Maryland RM 17.90 *

So I ordered Chicken Maryland. Yea my first time seeing Chicken Maryland being served with hot dog and egg. No doubt the portion is big and justified the price. Not to mention it came with black pepper sauce. No complain on the salad however the fries was pretty hard to chew and not salty. It is so hard that I decided to pour the black pepper sauce on the fries instead and the black pepper sauce is sucks. It is too watery and tasteless. Chicken Maryland itself is alright. Crispy on the skin and the meat still moist enough.

* Cheese Baked Spaghetti with Ham RM 14.90 *

Next le Betina Cheese Baked Spaghetti with Ham. This spaghetti is totally a disappointment because it was tasteless and almost no cheese taste. They spend 105 minute to baked the cheese until tasteless? They had alot ham in the spaghetti but same thing, it was totally tasteless. I am very confident Kim Gary can done much better than this shit.

Overall, just another average cafe. I bet the Six Inch name was came from their signature food, Six Inch hot dog where it doesn't caught our interest because it just look too ordinary and I bet it is same with GSC cinema. Beat me if I am wrong.

I am interested to coming back here for other foods but not until they improved their service. Thanks for ruining my Christmas lunch Six Inch.

Pak Kin Pak Sun - Pork Chop Burger Macau Style

Well, been loving pork more and more revently..Bat Kut Teh, Pork Chop and Pork Burger! I gonna hunt them all 1 by 1 in KL soon ;P One the night after Bosco & Sherman Concert, me and Betina hunt for food. Mind you it was late night (11+ after we reach setapak) and most shop are closed. Went to Papa Rich and the whole area ran out electricity immediately after we order. Finally, we dine in to Pak Kin Pak Sun cafe.

Well, i wanted to try the pork burger here long time ago. Thus i give it a try, Pork Chop Burger Macau Style RM6.80. Come with fries as well. The size is not big. The meat is not thick. The size is just right like Mc Donald Mc Chicken.

Since it is pork chop and not patty, thus it doesn't have any fill inside the meat. The taste was decent, nothing to shout out. But the price is pretty cheap for a pork burger (except Ninja Joe).

Not the best pork burger i ever had, still love Hungry Hogs and, started getting bored with Andes Byo haha...would love to explore other restaurant/cafe/shop. So any recommendation for me to add into my hunting list? ;)

Pao Xiang Bak Kut Teh, Genting Klang

Just had dinner at Pao Xiang bak Kut Teh with Mike, Marilyn & Mindy. I guess Pao Xiang Bak Kut Teh name is not strange to most of u since it had alot outlet around Klang Valley. Recently they just open new branch at Genting Klang. As a Bak Kut Teh AKA pork fans, feeling curious to try it, i asked them to join me for dinner.

This were what we ordered :

* Tua Kut *

* Pai Kut *

* Sum Chan Bah *

* Oil Stick AKA Yao Char Kuai *

* Golden Needle Mushroom *

Oh yes i have hard time to read their menu for the BKT part T_T

First thing first, it is individual style of Bak Kut Teh, or so called commercialized by Mike instead of putting all together in 1 big pot. And it cost RM10.50 for each bowl of meat, RM7 for the mushroom and RM4 for d yao char kuai. Reasonable? i dun think so for d portion with that price. We barely had enuf (for big eater of coz) since those meat most prolly gone by 1-2 pieces per person.

Secondly, i dislike the worker there. Yes they are not local ppl but labor workers. Hardly communicate wif them. Speak Malay or English will get unknown reply from them. They even forgot on our orders :( disappointed with their services

Overall, i felt disappointed with the shop. The only good thing i love was their Bak Kut Teh soup. It was pretty good. Other than tat, i would pass this shop and rather go those normal BKT shop.

Sushi King at Jaya Jusco, Setiawangsa

i m so sleepy now! haha, just woke up from nap. I went to nap immediately after dinner..LOL..sleepy pig! XD...well i woke up way early today. I woke up on 5.25am and went out to uni on 6.15am. I reach there b4 7am and it seem like a death city in uni, LOL! I went to comp lab and continue my final assign for animation. I worked all d way alone there from 7am until 12.45pm, where suetyee came and get me after her exam. My animation now was 60% done. Wee! Put abit more frame and sound clip it will gonna done =D. I fetch suetyee to her house, Angkasa to took all her stuff back to Setapak.

She was requesting for Sushi since tat day sun, hahaha...so without hesitating, i decided to went Jaya Jusco that located at Setiawangsa for Sushi King outlet. reason? I never been there before and it was nearerest outlet in setapak area. After picked up her stuffs from her house, i drove all d way back to setapak and fetched sooyan at Air Panas.

So we reach JJ around 2pm. Was super damn hungry adi tat time. Upon arrival, we immediately went to the shop. It was small compare to others outlet. Even smaller than the KLCC outlet! LOL! And that shop was pack wif ppl tat time. However luckily one table just clear out of human and we manage to get d table without queue,LOL! Oh for all Sushi King lover, they having promotion this few days which is from 13th~16th april, members of Sushi King can enjoy all plates on the conveyor belt just for Rm2 all! Wow! I see mostly all customer was eating that. Unfortunately none of us have d member card, so we have to order expensive food to eat -,-..sad...

Something funny was happen as well when we in the shop. Vi Kie was sitting next 2 table on my right side. However i cant recorgnize her coz..reli long time din c her adi. She seem can recorgnize me and keep looking at my direction and smile on me. I was looking on her direction too, but wif blur face..and in the same time i looking the conveyor belt on her side, hahaha...so ended up we din greet each others coz dun dare and not confirm is we are d person we thinking of until she msn me just now for confirmation, LOL! Paiseh giler...i guess i reli bad in recorgnizing ppl afterall..

I managed to eat 2 plate of Inari only today due to insufficient money i had with myself (i spend most of my money in this 2 days..sigh).after finish lunch, we went to walk around the JJ so that we can digest all the food in our storage..LOL. Well afterall the JJ wasn't as big as i expected but kinda nice design compare to wangsa maju 1. Besides, rain was heavily 1 hours before we head back.

After tat, i fetched suetyee back to her setapak house and entered her house with sooyan. She went to bath 1st while we waited for her. Next, our destination was Sooyan house! It was my first time went her house. Her house was reli full wif game! A true game maniac! PS2, PS3, NDS, WII! OMG! I feel like steal one of them back to my house adi! hahaha..we went to play Resident Evil 5 (PS3). I patnered with Suetyee in the game. Well the control was kinda confusing and i alwiz mispress the shooting button, sigh...at d end on stage 3 Suetyee was killed by a zombie dog who turn into 2 head chimera looked zombie..LOL..after d game, 3 of us played WII. Yes, she have 3 WII + 3 Nunchuk controller..LOL! Cool rite? Hahha..we play a game called..err Rayman i guess. Kinda funny game and i alwiz score the lowest score..LOL! it was my first time play WII too..and kinda fun of it =). After trying once for d WII, i feel like getting myseld one too. I wanna play Yu-Gi-Oh 5D in WII!! I watched the preview once and the riding duel was so damn cool!

Well, thats all my day today. It was a fun experience for first time being in JJ (Setiawangsa), first time play PS3 and WII. Hehe ^^

CNY day 3!! AAA houses!

Totally no pics for today event,sigh..kinda sad to figure out my friends dun like take pic and they tod i felt myself look good/photoghenic tats y i love to take pics..sigh..

anyway today was d day where me and my friends rumble around setapak area. this morning joe went my houe and i fetch him and ryan to tee house. When i reach, i saw teoh and andrea already reached followed by yvonne and sooyan and later yong and peigee. i gamble 2~3 round in his house then went down for lunch adi. later kavia reach tee house too and get his lunch as well. after that, danny came and fetch yvonne and sooyan to Peiying open house..lol, she din invite me..sad case..around 12pm+, we move to yong house. inside his house, we keep gambling none stop for almost 1 hours+.

after that we move to teoh house. when we just about to start next round on gambling, my dear called me from JPJ. so i went to JPJ to fetch her to teoh house. after gamble for almost another an hours in teoh house, my mum called me. so out next destination, my house! they all went to my house 1st while i went to fetch nikita to my house. oh well, once all reach my house, i know i'll become host. i lost around RM70+ todays in gambling...sigh, luck reli not aside me when i m in my own house..sad case

around 6pm+, we all decided to move to ryan house. before that, i fetched my dear back to her house while teoh fetch andrea (his gf) back too. after that i drove alone to ryan house. ryan house just renovated and it look super huge! and nice of coz! hahaha...we did not gamble in ryan house..juz sitting around and playing his PS2.

so thats all our "rampage" around setapak area. It have been almost a tradition to all of us since v did it every year CNY..hehe..wish next year CNY we could gather more ppl..tmrw if everything goes well, i am going out dating wif my dear. hope i could spend all quality moment wif her since she'll going back malacca on this fri..sigh..i reli do miss her so much
