Alright we are suppose to hunt food on One Utama. We had plenty of time but apparently most shop doesn't have plenty of space for us. Everywhere human mountain human sea ahh Oh before that, some photo of us being Derp and Derpina

After looking around One Utama, finally we decided to dine in to Watami! Wee my favourite japanese casual restaurant Struggling alot on what to choose and eat finally we decided to give it a try on the valentine package set A

Here are what we get!

Onsen Tamago Caesar Salad! The pork bacon is nice :D

Sadly no Wafu Pizza in the package . Thus we tried the Mentai Potato Pizza (Pizza topped with Cod Roe & Potato). I still prefer Wafu Pizza for being aromatic but le gf like this too.

Shrimp Tempura This 1 does blow my mind away. I really have no idea how it can be so tasty. Le gf love it so much too. Glad we choose this in the set.

Sukiyaki Korean hot pot with beef in Spicy Broth. Nothing special on this. The beef taste ordinary.

French Fries. It seem they put some herbs on the fries but it still not nice without the sauce. MyBurgerlab fries still nicer.

Salmon Sashimi is the best on that night. Since le gf like fish, this is totally heaven to her. Not to mention Watami actually restock every Thursday. Thus, it was a perfect day to get their Sashimi

Finally dessert! Was so full by d time d dessert arrived Red Bean crepes with Green Tea Ice Cream. Love the ice cream, the quality still there ;) I though Red Bean crepes is crispy but ended up is soft 1 and easily to chew. Nice also!

Overall, my plan A failed. Luckily though of Plan B as well. Thanks Watami for saving my Valentine and did not ruin it like what Six Inch Cafe did to my last christmas

Japanese Casual Restaurant Watami Malaysia @ Pavilion KL

Last week I supposed to have food review together with Betina. However for some reason the food review was cancelled for forever. Thus, we decided to have some luxury dinner to cheers up ourself (or maybe to cheers up myself only LOL). So here we are, Watami Malaysia at Pavilion KL.

If you're curious about this shop, both of us did a review for them. You can view it here. Both of my visit was in One Utama and this is my first time having Watami at Pavillion. Will the food quality and taste difference? Let's check it out.

* Ishiyaki Beef Pepper Rice RM19.90 *

I ordered Ishiyaki Beef Pepper Rice. Yea, I am having the same food as i had when i first time dine-in in Watami. I still love this rice very much. The perfect aroma between rice, beef and black pepper is totally perfect and on sync. Not to mention you get to control the cook of beef via the hot pot.

* Watami Shoyu Ramen RM22.90 *

Deary got herself a Watami Shoyu Ramen. According to her, nth special on this. A little disappointment appeared in my heart. I am not a big fans of ramen but I do hope Watami could do much more than this on their ramen.

* Wafu Pizza RM19.90 *

Finally, Wafu Pizza that both of us craving so much. Although this time the pizza wasn't crispy (it is nearly soft I would say), but the taste and aroma still same when both of us having first time during the food review. Seriously, this is still 1 of the best pizza I ever had in my life. Totally recommended. Of course it would be nicer if it was crispy.

Total cost RM73.35 including green tea drink for 2. Hey! It is much worth than dining on overated Ipoh Chicken Rice shop that I had last week. Not to mention finally my debit card manage to made it debut by paying the bill, hahahaha!

Japanese Casual Restaurant Watami Malaysia @ One Utama Food Review

Still remember I went in for lunch at Watami before with deary? Last week they contacted deary and would like to have a food review session for both outlet, Pavillion and One Utama. I went the One Utama side again for the review.

We were served well by Mr Amritpal, the Director of Operation for Watami Malaysia. He ordered us Dinner Premium Set for 4 worth RM200+ for us. The set was come with Teriyaki Chicken Salad, Wafu Hitokuchi Steak, Assorted Sashimi, Tempura Moriawase, Wafu Pizza, Tokusen Sushi Mariawase, Main Dish (Choose 1 from the menu - Tokyo Gyudon, Ishiyaki Bibimbap, Ishiyaki Garlic Rice, Gyuniku Ishinabe Kuppa), Hot pot (Choose 1 from the menu - Gyuniku Sukiya Nabe, Shio Chanko Nabe), Additonal (Choose 1 from the menu - Udon, Ramen, Gohan), Dessert (Choose 4 from the menu - Vanilla, Goma, Matcha, Chocolate Ice Cream) and Beverage (Choose 4 from the menu - Green Citrus Tea, Green Citrus Green Tea, Green Citrus Yuzu Marmalade Soda, Green Citrus Cola). This are what we have on that day ;)

I din really get to try all the beverages but heard the Cola 1 is the best. However the Green Citrus Green Tea that i have it doesn't taste bad either.

For starter, we have the Teriyaki Chicken Salad. Watami claim they have their own secret recipe for the dressing and it really taste good! The unique taste, thickness and aromatic would make you none stop chasing for it.

Wafu Hitokuchi Steak was cooked medium rare and size come in mini. The meat wasn't too hard nor chewy. Plus, the steak is very juicy, perfect started for steak lover.

Assorted Sashimi is come with 3 kind. What else more important than thickness and freshness in Sashimi? Watami manage to did it! Well done :)

Tempura Moriawase contains deep fried prawns & vegetables in tempura batter. Everything in here wasn't overcooked and just served perfectly.

Wafu Pizza is one of my favorite. I have taste various kind of pizza ala italy style. But this Wafu Pizza taste totally differences. It has a very unique aroma that i couldn't tell what oil they use on it. Plus, it was rich with flavor as well. Highly recommended when you dine-in in Watami.

Tokusen Sushi Mariawase is a mixture of various sushi such as salmon, tuna, eggs and more. I have no comment on this except, the salmon was really fresh!

As for the main dish, we decided to choose Tokyo Gyudon. Tokyo Gyudon is beef rice bowl with hot spring egg in Tokyo style. Thumb up to this because it was one of the best beef rice i ever tried. The rice and beef combination bring a very unique taste and aromatic to taste bud.

 

Shio Chanko Nabe was our selection for Hot Pot. The soup was salty but i still can take it. The reason it was salty because Watami claim that's one of the identity of japanese taste. None of any japanese restaurant around here ever done that. So, it is highly recommended if you love to experiences that saltiness. As the additional, we got ourself a Udon.

We are lucky enough to be able to taste all the ice-cream for dessert. The chocolate ice-cream is the best. However the Goma and Matcha is actually special made by Watami. Plus, all ingredient for ice-cream are perfectly mix and even.

Anyway, i would love to clarify that Watami isn't a fully Japanese Restaurant. It was a fusion. Plus, their main theme is prepare a very casual dining experience for their customer.

As i mention previously, i love the dining experience in Watami. The lovely ambiance and efficient services is one of the praise i must give to Watami. Besides, Watami prepared lunch and dinner set. Don't like their set, they have ala carte too to fit your liking in order.

Finally, thanks to Watami for giving me lovely dining experience with friends. I would be back again :)

Japanese Casual Restaurant Watami Malaysia

Claim to be Japanese Casual Restaurant, Watami really deserved the title. Watami features the delights of modern Japanese cuisine, which include Watami’s original dishes and signature beverages. I am lucky because manage to dine in here during lunch time with the gf in One Utama.

The first thing attract me was the lunch set menu offered by Watami. The price was pretty neat and reasonable. What amazed me most was the amount of ppl dining in there. It was almost packed. I always believe, good food are deserved to be over populated. Not to mention, their service is good and fast.

Both me and deary ordered Ishiyaki Beef Pepper Rice set (RM17.90) and Ishiyaki Salmon and Tobikko Gohan set (RM19.90). Of course, the set lunch are included salad, soup and beverages.

 

* Ishiyaki Beef Pepper Rice *

The Ishiyaki Beef Pepper Rice is come together with the stone pot. Noted that it is hot, thus you can control and cook the raw beef meat in the pot. I love this so much. It is spicy but not overly done. It blend well with the rice and beef in the same time and created nice pepper flavor inside the mouth.

 

* Ishiyaki Salmon and Tobikko Gohan *

 

* Crab Roe *

Meanwhile, the Ishiyaki Salmon and Tobikko Gohan is Salmon and Crab Roe Rice in stone pot as well. It was topping together with cheese on the salmon raw. Well, according to the gf she like it..oh salmon lover LOL
