Phobia 2 Premier Screening

Went to Phobia 2 Premier Screening last nite. Courtesy of Nuffnang for the tics =). I invited Yen to be my guest for this movie. It have been time since i watch Thai Horror in cinema. If i not mistaken d last thai horror movie i watch in cinema was Coming Soon.

Reach there around 8pm and queued up for the tics. After that few of us went to Kluang Station for dinner coz some of us havent reli eat, including me.

However due to rushing for time, i finished my food in 5 min. and forgot to take my food pics..FML!

Anyway, here is d short summary of d movie :

PHOBIA 2 will bring you a collective of 5 horror stories in 1 movie featuring the talented directors – Banjong Pisanthanakun (Shutter, Alone, 4BIA – In the Middle), Paween Purijitpanya (Body, 4BIA- Tit for Tat), Songyos Sugmakanan (Dorm, Hormones), Parkpoom Wongpoom (Shutter, Alone, 4BIA – Last Fright), and a new director Visute Poolvoralaks the man behind the success of Shutter, Alone, 4BIA, and Coming Soon.

There are 5 short stories in PHOBIA 2 which are:

Novice – For fourteen year old Pey the idea of ‘karma’ is completely irrelevant. Pey has committed a crime so his mom decides that Pey must get ordained to become a Buddhist novice to escape. Under the guise of a monk Pey remains unnoticed as a criminal. However, something deep down inside is bothering him. Will Pey’s Karma catch up with him? As he searches for the answer, the grip of fear tightens as he realizes that ‘Karma’ has no friend or foe when deciding a man’s fate or fortune.

Backpackers – Upon graduation, a young Japanese couple decides to travel around Thailand by backpacking. After failed attempts to hitchhike from Samui Island to Bangkok, the boyfriend waves a 1,000 Baht note in hopes to entice passing cars to pick them up. Finally, a truck driver pulls over and picks them up. What is hiding inside the truck’s trailer? Is there something deeper and darker that lurks behind the kind smiling face of the truck driver who lets them hop in? The answers to these questions will cause an adrenalin rush like no other.

In the End – Ter, Puak, Shin, and Aey are the movie crew of an upcoming horror movie. They are shooting their last scene. On the last night, Ter is trying to be cool and tells one of the cast members that, “the show must go on”. So when that actress accidentally dies during filming she makes sure to come back from the dead to finish her role. The four of them Ter, Puak, Shin and Aey must shoot the movie that has a real ghost playing the role of a ghost in the end!!

Salvage – Nuch is a car dealer. She makes her living by rebuilding severely damaged cars. But little do unsuspecting bargain hunters know, beneath the new upholstery and shiny repainted exteriors are cars with horrific pasts. One night after closing the car garage she discovers her son is missing. Reviewing the security camera tapes she sees her son climb inside a car that she recently bought but nowhere on tape has him climbing out! “Cemetery Garage” where you drive off with more than you bargained for.



Ward – A playful teenager crashes his bike and breaks both legs. At the hospital he is moved from the ER room to a shared room because he is afraid of being alone. But be careful what you wish for. In the room, there is an old man in a coma who has been waiting for almost a month for someone to pull the plug on his oxygen. What happens that night will make him realize that being alone is always better than being around bad company.

Oh yes! Sound like Where Got Ghost movie where there are various story in 1 movie. In my point of view, Novice & Ward is kinda scary (though it doesnt shock me much) and the suspense is great. The most WTF was Backpacker story where..suddenly a story related wif zombie. I knew alot ppl would said it was Resident Evil or Left 4 Dead. While the best story ever was In The End! Thats the most relaxing suspense story ever and most entertaining. Trust me u'll heard every1 laugh on the story. It was seriously great twist and turn and unexpected plot. Thumb up for this story! =D

Surrogates Premier Screening

Went to Surrogates Premier Screening last nite. Courtesy of Nuffnang for the tics =). I din manage to have dinner wif friends because i decided to ate at house. In addition, i m kinda broke recently. I knew i overspent....i invited Yen for the movie.

Once i reach there, i met some bloggers at 1 of the asam laksa shop inside Cinneleisure (obviously i forgot the shop name..) After that i went to collected my passes with Bryan from Nuffnang booth. After collecting the passes, i waited my guest of d nite to reach.

Later when everyone gathered, some of them suggested to had a bowling game before the show. Thus some of us went there for d game. V rent 4 lane, which 2 ppl per lane while i m d only 1 alone in 1 lane coz i join in late. After d match, is time for movie.

As usual, i'll start with short brief summary of d movie.

FBI agents (BRUCE WILLIS and RADHA MITCHELL) investigate the mysterious murder of a college student linked to the man who helped create a high-tech surrogate phenomenon that allows people to purchase unflawed robotic versions of themselves – fit, good looking remotely controlled machines that ultimately assume their life roles – enabling people to experience life vicariously from the comfort and safety of their own homes. The murder spawns a quest for answers: in a world of masks, who’s real and who can you trust?

In my opinion, the movie is not as good as i expected. Mayb i expected more fighting or action scene like terminator. The whole movie is more to story line kind. The beginning of the show i confuse myself. I though those Surrogates robot move as how they programme like usually any robot show or Terminator we watch. but ended up is human controled those robot using a kind of machine. Anyway this movie is still recommendable to watch. Just my personal though that the movie is not good as it should be..=)

After the movie, few of us who were me, Ken, YC, Alex, Jan, Bern & Eve went to Murni to meet Jess there for supper and yumcha. It was my first time seen Murni closed so early, which is before 0030 hours.

Anyway, i am enjoying the movie and outing but in the same time still suffer wif my assign T___T...one of the reason i seldom blog...however, thx to those who still visit & leave msg to my blog. Really appreciated it =D

Ghost of Girlfriends Past Premier Screening with Nuffnangers

Weee! went to screening with nuffnangers last nite at 1 Utama, Ghost of Girlfriend Past. It have been long time since d last screening which is Blood with nuffnangers. Thanks to jacq again for d extra tics.

Before the screening start, we went to had dinner together at Charm Cafe. The bloggers that join for d dinner are me, Jacq, Nigel, Jeffro, Suresh, Samantha, Wenpink, Zoe & lastly Jess.

Well, as usual before i comment on d movie, here are d summary :

Well, this movie was great for me! It was funny as well contain a very high meaning on human relationship. The first ghost bring Connor back to past, 2nd ghost to present & last ghost showing his future. It shown that if Connor dun change his attitude, his future will be as same as d 1 show by d 3rd ghost. Oh yea before i forgot, Connor as d photographer used NIKON DSLR!! Weee! NIKON ROCKSSS!!! =D

I am glad to attend this screening coz Jeffro and Ken taught me alot d way to handle my SB 600. I guess i got d concept on how to use it. Will practice it again tonite at my uni concert =D
