The Country Pet Hotel - Cat Café @ Plaza Crystal Ville, Setapak

P1041099

Ok this is something I delayed it on purpose. Because I just scratching my head on how to blog about this. As everyone know I am actually a dogs lover and I don't have any special feeling on cats. For me, dog are much cuter and much better being my companions. Cat are just bitch. Ok cat lover don't kill me k? :P

P1041139

Nevertheless, claim to be Malaysia first cat cafe, The Country Pet Hotel located at Plaza Cristal Villa, Setapak or to be specific, Danau Kota. It located right behind the Columbia Hospital. The shop located right beside Pizza Hut, not easy to spot though. I have to make 2 rounds of turn before spotted it. So yea, I went the cafe together with deary, my sis, Ryan and Yeeing. Despite how much I bitch about cat, I am giving myself a chance to go near them.

P1041105

P1041120

Upon arrival, we been told each head will be charge for RM 14.90 and only allowed to stay for one hour. Uh well fair enough. Or else every cat lover just visit the cafe without paying nor ordering anything. Rm 14.90 charged, we get a free drinks from the menu. The drinks were huge disappointment. We were also required to sanitize our hands and also to change into slippers that were provided.

P1041101

P1041132

The moment I step in, the wtfbbqsauce moment came right into my mind. The layout of the cafe is small, smelly and dim. As Chinese proverb, "One eye see finish". Le sigh. There are total 6 cats in the room with 5 being same breed and another 1 long fur which I called it Cinaman because it's eye hardly open LOL

P1041136

P1041126

So what can you do in the cat cafe? You paid money go in, get a drinks and play with the cat. Well more like serving the cat in case if they are being passive LOL.. there are clothes and comb provided as well for the cat.

P1041114

P1041118

Overall, it is a huge disappointment on the cat cafe. I do think that I will have little interest on cat after went the cafe but guess I still love dogs more. Not to mentioned the cafe lack of quality drinks and also some minor facilities like a basin to wash hand after play with the cat? But of course, we are provided the same sanitizer when we were going out.

Being Selective

It was Sunday morning yesterday where I managed to join Robin, Carmen and Tom who came all the way from US for some shutter therapy session at Petaling Street. Oh God it was such a burden to woke up early and riding the demotivated LRT. We managed to meet up on time and had a breakfast in one of the famous porridge and Chu Cheong Fan in Petaling Street. Forgot the name of the shop though. Was it call Hong Kee?

Chinese New Year decoration can be seen everywhere in Petaling Street. Not to mentioned they blast the music loudly along the street. One can never deny CNY is coming near. Is time to loose some weight and also gain it back during the celebration LOL.. Anyway we drop by at Chinese and Indian temple nearby after breakfast.

I am telling myself not to shoot too much everytime when I head to street. I am choosing being selective. Selective on my subjects, selective on the moments, selective on my shots and so on. This is just to force myself being more aware on my composition and think out of the box. Turn out I shots 52 photos only yesterday. But mehhhh.. I am not sure am I doing the right things.

Honestly I am fond to my Olympus 45mm f1.8 more and more nowdays. Gosh which genius actually invented 45mm (90mm in 35mm equivalent) focal length! It just not too close yet too far. Perfect for me though deep in my heart I actually wanted Olympus 75mm f1.8 as well for concert shooting *grin*..

I don't edit much my photos most of the times (unless it is some model or product shooting) but something struck me last night when editing those photos and I decided to be daring in doing some unusual post processing that I would do. Hopefully it doesn't turn out as ugly as I thought. C&C are welcome!

On the new year itself, bought presents for my parent. A MP3 player, Sony E385 - 16GB storage that can store in dunno how many thousands song for mum and also Nokia Asha 210 for dad coz his current phone abit not convenience to use and he refuse to change.

I am surprise such low end phone support Whatsapp, twitter and Facebook :P Guess time to teach him use that. Not getting him any Android since he still prefer simple and basic phone. Almost get him Nokia 515 though coz the design is so classic and nice finishing! Too bad no wifi and price are ridiculously high.

100 Doraemon Secret Gadgets Expo @ Viva Home

PC260759

PC260757

PC260777

If you dunno about Doraemon, I can ensure you're not from my generation or older :P Anyway, finally Doraemon is in Malaysia! Heard it is much better than the #lowbudgetbutspenddamn7alot9moneyontheexpo one in Genting Highland on previous time. It cost RM25/ticket for adult.. ouch I am an adult huh :( But but but I still like Doraemon!! Still remember my very first comic that I pick up and read are Doraemon, in Malay version since I can't read Chinese. I used to have complete comic series of Doraemon except the cerita panjang.

PC260773

Curious on how Doraemon was born? Here the video!

What to expect in the expo? Doraemon, Doraemon and Doraemon everywhere! Ok just kidding. It is basically a little history of Doraemon, the gadgets that appeared in series/movie before, the town in the comic itself and of course some unforgeable moment/event that happened in Doraemon series before. Abit disappointed though that all the gadgets display doesn't have name and description on it. Or even better if they can put a little bit of comic strip to describe the gadgets usage.

Of course, there are some interactive drawing or real life gadgets available for fun photography purposes.

There are some merchandise, cafe and event fun fair towards the end of the expo. They have the famous Doraemon snack, Dorayaki which IMHO overpriced. Don't even know it is authentic or not :(

PC260891

PC260895

Couldn't help myself but bought four collar pin of Doraemon! It is so cute!!

PC270899

Overall, great expo for people who love Doraemon but I think the RM25 price it too expensive :( Guess it was holiday season too that cause too many people as well even on weekday. The expo will end on 24th March 2014, so don't miss your chance to meet Doraemon!
