New Year Penang Trip : Eng Seng & Jolyn Goh ROM & Wedding Dinner

This was actually my main purpose head to Penang. It is E.S and Jolyn ROM and wedding dinner! This marked my second time actually attending wedding dinner. The first time was when I became photographer LOL

They have their ROM (Registration of Marriage - Some awesome new term I learn recently. All this while ROM for me is Read-only memory LOL) at their own hotel. If you wasn't aware, it is P.I.C.E Hotel I mentioned previously! Click here to check it out! Most room design are by Jolyn ;)

Not a very large area but simple and nice. The only thing I could complain is very sunny and hot. Well, can't complain much also actually since it was the roof top of the hotel ;/

Downloaded new apps to try and done pretty heavy color editing on the ROM photos since the canopy reflected red color on us. Oh btw the new apps I just downloaded to play around is Snapseed. Well, I do love the preset filter in this apps ;P Mind you I actually not heavy editor on my photos. I am those type what I see is what I shoot out.

Nevertheless, the ROM is very successful though no awesome nor touched speech. More like all the words are speak by the father LOL..I recorded a portion of the ROM ceremony but no time to edit yet piff..shall spend few hours to do it soon.

On next day night is their wedding dinner. It was held on a very large hall instead of restaurant. It fits more people actually :P Ok my hair look damn cinapek here..lazy to style -_-

Anyway, nothing to shout on the dinner. Food was ok, wedding dinner was successful, annoying gangnam style repeated for at least 3 times and emcee talk hokkien the whole night and it is an alien language for me.

Overall, nice experienced at Penang. Congrate to E.S and Jo again for their wedding! Thanks also for providing me accommodation. Wishing them happily ever after and quickly have Jr Jo :P

Mayday (NO WHERE) World Tour Meet & Greet @ Paradigm Mall

If you don't know I am huge fans of Mayday, it means you dunno me :P Ok i this this post gonna be flooded with quite alot Mayday photos. Last night they are here for a short meet and greet session with fans! Immediately after work, I rush to pick up le gf and reach Paradigm Mall at 7.20pm. LDP jam is such a bitch last night and since we are late, the crowds already took the front spot T.T

Beside a regular meet and greet session, here something extra - Mayday World Tour will be in Malaysia on 2nd March 2013. Good news for fans, they will have extra show on 3rd March 2013 too!! OMG I want! I failed to get tics earlier and hopefully I could grab this time T.T

Ticket will be start on sales 20th Jan 2013 11AM! Jot down peep!

As I said earlier, I am late to the session. Fans already gathered into a spot and impossible for me to squeeze to front. Being no choice I equiped my Olympus E-P3 with Tamron 90mm f2.5 to shoot. Still, I cant get closer picture. Not to mention hands, hands everywhere.

I give up. I use 2X Digital Tele on my cam and tadaa..this is the best zoom I could get, by scarifying the sharpness and noise reduction in my pics T.T In my heart keep telling why I no buy Pana 100-300mm huhuhu

Hopefully I can go their concert this year..shall stand by to grab the tics.. or anyone got media pass for me? :D :D

New Year Penang Trip : TAO Authentic Asian Cuisine @ Auto City

On the first day of arrival in Penang and checked in in PICE Hotel, I just lay on the hotel bed till dinner time. Serious it is too comfy until I too lazy to walk out on the middle of hot sun. However, I still need to eat. Thus, brought le GF to try TAO that located at Auto City, since it near our hotel.

I still remember my first TAO was in E@Gate, Penang and I am so excited when Sunway Giza decided to had another outlet there. To my surprise their interior look much better than all outlets I been. Look classy at least. The feel and ambience surrounding pretty much the same.

So here are the food we ordered. Menu are same for all outlets and we ordered the usual must eat foods from TAO! I forgot some of the dish name though LOL

* A plate of Sushi *
* Abalone *
* Scallop *

* Teppan Beef *
* Crabmeat with Cheese *
* Sashimi Combo *
* Smoked Duck *
* Teriyaki Beef *
* King Mushroom *

Le gf love the quality here more compare to KL especially the Scallop. She said it is much spicy and rich with flavour. For myself I hardly tell it coz I just had one last week for company Christmas lunch LOL.

Nevertheless, TAO still havent let me down. Great place for buffet ;)

Now, anyone can tell me how to diet? :(

GAB Chinese New Year 2013 Launch

When you walk around mall and suddenly feel very red and dong dong chiang sound everywhere, it is a sign of Chinese New year is coming! This year, GAB (Guinness Anchor Berhad) launches their ‘Celebration of Good Fortune, Prosperity and Longevity’ campaign which promises great promotions, exciting activities and auspicious events for loyal consumers to usher in the Year of the Snake.

For generations, the Fu Lu Shou has been central to the Chinese community, bestowing good fortune, wealth and health whenever they are sighted together. With its loyal drinkers in mind, GAB has put together a Chinese New Year offering that will reward them with the three Chinese star deities of Fu (福), Lu (禄) and Shou (寿) whenever they pick GAB’s own three stars; Guinness, Tiger and Anchor.

Throughout the festive season, consumers can check the bottle cap liners of any big bottle of Guinness, Tiger and Anchor to see if they have won one of 9 solid gold Fu Lu Shou sets worth RM 10,000 each (Red Cap Linerw), 999 gold-plated Fu Lu Shou sets worth RM 1,000 (Blue Cap Liners) each or to redeem 18 bottle liners for a Fu Lu Shou set (Black Cap Liners) to usher in good favour, wealth and health throughout the year ahead.

On the same time, GAB will also organize a series of charity dinners to raise funds Chan She Shu Yuen Clan Association (陈氏书院) Hall as well as six other Chinese communities and villages across the country. These fundraising events will feature a Chinese dinner with Yee Sang and GAB’s iconic beers, great live entertainment and charity bazaar that also contributes funds towards the worthy cause of the dinners.

The year of snake will stay awesome with GAB! Let's cheers and get ready for the brand new year coming soon!

Ikuzo Ramen @ SS2

If you're looking for cheap and healthy Ramen, Ikuzo Ramen is one of your choices to be put under consideration. I been passing by this shop a multiples time but don't have chance to try it yet until last night. It located beside Mc Donald SS2.

The menu front cover pretty unique. Look's like some newspaper or propaganda going on. They heavily promote their Ramen is MSG and any other soup artificial free.

Without wasting time both me and le gf ordered Cha Su Ramen, Spicy Ramen and also Gyoza. To my surprise their service is very fast. Not even five minutes after we ordered the food came. Thumb up on this ;)

* Cha Su Ramen RM9.80 *

So like the name suggested, the Cha Su Ramen contains five pieces of pork (Cha Su) with their signature shoyu soup. It also served together with seaweed and spring onion. Well honestly I dont feel their so called shoyu soup tasty. It taste like mild soy sauce. Guess some disappointment died on me but hey, actually overall it is still not bad. The cha su is a thumb up for me!

* Spicy Ramen RM9.50 *

In other way, le gf Spicy Ramen soup is spicy miso based. It is really just spicy and easily covered your taste bud. The ramen come with sweet corn, cha su, beancurd skin, spring onion and also seaweed.

* Gyoza RM4.80 *

Nothing to shout on the Gyoza. It just taste ok.

Overall we spend only RM31.90 on the meal. No tax included. Well, isn't it cheap? ;)
