Lone Ranger Premier Screening

Courtesy to Nuffnang I get to watch Lone Ranger Premier Screening before it release in cinema.

From producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski, the filmmaking team behind the blockbuster franchise “Pirates of the Caribbean”, comes Disney’s “The Lone Ranger,” a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes. Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.

I think it is rarely for me to feel 150 minutes for a movie is too long. There are mixture of love and hate for the movie. I love the background music at the final battle. It remind me alot disney classic mickey mouse cartoon. I hate the movie because it just pure draggy and mediocre story line. However I do admit it has great character development, great chemistry between two main character and slap stick comedy kind of action. Ok I do love the part when Tonto mentioned Kemosabe meaning to John.

Alot unexplained and illogical part. How does Tonto and John can still move freely and as in nothing happen after they just get flung away from the train at the beginning of the show? How Tonto escape from the jail? How can the train so easily detach by a gun shot? I wouldn't even wanna start questioning the white house.

Overall, this movie is worth to watch because of Johnnie Depp. But to be honest it wasn't his best acting. I still prefer his old movie, Sweeney Todd anyone?

The Heat Premier Screening

Courtesy to Nuffnang, I get to watch The heat premier screening before it release in cinema.

Uptight FBI Special Agent Sarah Ashburn (Sandra Bullock) and foul-mouthed Boston cop Shannon Mullins (Melissa McCarthy) couldn't be more incompatible. But when they join forces to bring down a ruthless drug lord, they become the last thing anyone expected buddies. From Paul Feig, director of “Bridesmaids.”

Honestly, nothing much to shout on the movie. The story line pretty much mediocre since the format has been reused for uncountable times. I hardly find myself enjoy the movie at the beginning but somehow middle of the show it managed to attracted me and I admit, I laugh on those jokes.

Nothing much to shout on character performances. The character development is good and acting convincing enough. Melissa McCarthy did a good job as foul languages speaker. Guess she gonna stick with that kind character for a while..i guess ok?

Overall, I do enjoy the movie and had a great laugh last night.

Django Unchained Premier Screening

Courtesy to Nuffnang I get to watch Django Unchained Premier Screening before it release in cinema.

A freed slave named Django is trained as a bounty hunter by a German dentist named Schultz, and the two men set out to find Django's captive wife.

For the past 165 minutes watching this movie, it never fail to make my eye away from the cinema screen. No doubt, Django Unchained is really well written script and detailed. There is a part I thought it gonna be end of the movie since it looks like climax but the director proved me wrong.. holymama cow such a long ass winded film but hey, it is nice! The actors, the character development, the song in the movie plus the awesome gun fight are perfect. The only thing I feel fake is the exaggerated blood splash.

If you guy's dunno, Django Unchained was nominated in few categories in Oscar 2013 and won 2 awards -

  • Best Supporting Actor - Christoph Waltz
  • Original Screenplay - Written by Quentin Tarantino

Very quickly Christoph Waltz as Dr. King Schultz is my favourite character in the movie and his performance quite overshadow Jamie Fox as Django. Django only started to shine after his death - after killed Leonardo DiCaprio as Calvin Candie. They are some humor and funny scene in the movie as well make it feel less tense. Deary said it is very comical.

Overall, thumb up to Django Unchained! I have nothing much to complained on the movie. Very satisfying ;)

Here Come The Boom Premier Screening

Courtesy to Nuffnang, I get to catch Here Come The Boom Premier Screening before it release in cinema.

A high school biology teacher looks to become a successful mixed-martial arts fighter in an effort to raise money to prevent extra-curricular activities from being axed at his cash-strapped school.

Well, I have no complain on the movie. Pretty entertaining with alot funny comedy-type-conversation though I hope they could display more through action. Slap stick comedy anyone? Kevin James done a great job in the movie as expected as from a comedian.

However feel pretty bored with the story plot. Pretty much common and nth ground breaker. But again, it is still entertaining anyway.

The final fight seem pretty unrealistic to me. Is either Kevin James as Scott Voss very tahan kena pukul since he din get knock out in 3 round when fighting the champion, Ken Dietrich or this Ken has 0 defence when he easily get knock down by Scott in final round.

Overall, not the best comedy movie I watch. Still pretty much love his role in Grown Up movie together with Adam Sandler. Ok maybe I am just Adam Sandler fans.

Lonbay - The Farm's Best Coffee Review

I am not true coffee lover. Beat me, instead of keeping me awake coffee actually make me have a good night sleep. Nevertheless, courtesy to Coco invites, I am given chance to test Lonbay, The Farm's Best Coffee that located at Paradigm Mall, outside Tesco.

Click here to check out their full menu. The price is pretty standard but I do believe the served what they claimed - fresh and healthy.

* Long Black RM8.90 *

Get myself a Long Black coffee. The taste not as bitter as I expected and still maintain the coffee aroma and taste.

* Coffee Luwak RM89.90 (250ml) *

One of their best coffee is known as Coffee Luwak. What is Coffee Luwak? Well you can click here to see. They demonstrate to us the the way of preparing the coffee.

Honestly speaking Coffee Luwak actually taste very plain. Taste like Kopi-o-Kosong but don;t get fool by it. The bitter taste come later. It wasn't strong but it is very smooth to drink.

* Kung Fu Tea Tarik RM4.90 *

Kung-fu Teh Tarik is one of their signature drink as well. Well not that you can do Kung Fu after you drink it but it actually refreshing and able to keep you awake. They used qualities tea leaf on this drinks and the after taste is definitely difference from the usual you drink.

Next, we are given chance to tasted all the sandwiches from them. All are fresh and hand made by themselves.

* Hawaii RM7.90 - Pineapple, Thousand Island sauce, Chicken Ham, Mozzarella Cheese, Capsicium, Tomato *
* Fishmo RM7.90 - Tuna, Mayonnaise sauce, Cheese sauce, Capsicium, Onion *
* Maxicano RM7.90 - Maxican sauce, Chicken Ham Mozzarella Cheese, Capsicium, Tomato *
* Belgino RM7.90 - BBQ sauce, Diced Chicken Breast, Mozzarella Cheese, Capsicium, Tomato *
* Lartigo RM7.90 -Sausage, Cheese sauce, Mozzarella cheese, Capsicum *

Because the bread is home made by themself, it is recommended to eat it before leaving it long because it will get hard. Overall, all the sandwiches has pretty decent taste. Nothing to shout about.

* Peanut and Butter Toast RM2.50 *

Peanut and butter toast just normal. Nothing to shout.

* Club Sandwich RM7.90 *

Club Sandwich is highly recommended. The bread, the sauce and the filling inside make an awesome combination and easy to bite despite it look kinda thick. I wouldn't mind have it all for myself.

* Green Sauce Spaghetti RM13.90 *

Green Sauce Spaghetti seem too dry and not so oily. The green sauce is made from pesto. According to Lonbay, they are trying to promote healthy food thus it explained why it is so dry. I found it just alright for me.

* Bolognese Chicken Mince RM13.90 *

Bolognese Chicken Mince not so oily as well. Taste just nice for me. Nothing to shout about it.

* Taj Burger *

Taj Burger has a soft bun on top of it. Really soft until you can actually tear it with small amount of energy. The chicken is meat instead of patty itself. The chicken not exactly very crispy but it is still nice. Probably one of my favourite food in Lonbay.

* Classic Cheese RM7.90 *
* Chocolate Cake RM7.90 *

They do serve awesome cake too! Too bad I am just given chance to try their Classic Cheese and American Chocolate Cake only. The taste is comparable with the competitor.

Overall, Lonbay is one of the great potential coffee shop that promote healthy foods. It is rare to see this kind of shop and I hope they could branch out more outlet in coming future. I definitely will come back again for their coffee and Taj Burger!
