Christmas Lunch - Six Inch Cafe @ Setapak PV 128

Merry Christmas everyone! Well aren't we glad that the world hasn't end and we are still alive to looking forwards for new year and 2013. Nevertheless, it is Christmas today and being a guy who afraid of jam, I just decided to stay at home and rest my ass. At least, until le Betina came around for lunch together.

Six Inch Cafe just opened in Setapak few days ago. Being curious and new toilet bowl (san si hang), both me and le Betina tried this as our Christmas lunch. Well, I pretty love the open air concept at first but dining inside during lunch time is pure hot and easily sweat since they dun have air cond and only fans.

* Three Layer Milk Tea RM4.70 *

First thing first, the cafe was pretty crowded. No strange since it was lunch time and deep inside my heart I hope it is nice place to eat that's why so many people. However the waiter seem busy walking around and no time to entertained us. We tried to stop 1 of the waiter to enquiries the seat on upstair and they just walk pass by us as if we are invisible. Being abit pissed off, le betina and I decided to get our own seat at downstair and still, no waiter come around to serve us the menu despite they have enough man power. Some are just standing around the counter and act as statue. Finally we got our menu after we asked one of the waiter who happen to pass by our seat with 4 menus on his hand and he was ushering other people to their seat. DAFUQ! WHY YOU NO USHER ME!

* Ambra Juice RM5.90 *

Later both of me and Betina gotta wait more than 30 minute before out food are served. It took around 50 minites for mine and 105 minutes for le Betina. Honestly I don't realize time passed so fast since I am busy playing games on my phone until I recheck my check in time in my four square when my food come. Is it so hard to cook Chicken Maryland and Cheese Baked Spaghetti? There is a point we tried to raise hand for enquiries of our food and those waiters seem ignore us. Betina went to counter there and asked but got ignored.

* Chicken Maryland RM 17.90 *

So I ordered Chicken Maryland. Yea my first time seeing Chicken Maryland being served with hot dog and egg. No doubt the portion is big and justified the price. Not to mention it came with black pepper sauce. No complain on the salad however the fries was pretty hard to chew and not salty. It is so hard that I decided to pour the black pepper sauce on the fries instead and the black pepper sauce is sucks. It is too watery and tasteless. Chicken Maryland itself is alright. Crispy on the skin and the meat still moist enough.

* Cheese Baked Spaghetti with Ham RM 14.90 *

Next le Betina Cheese Baked Spaghetti with Ham. This spaghetti is totally a disappointment because it was tasteless and almost no cheese taste. They spend 105 minute to baked the cheese until tasteless? They had alot ham in the spaghetti but same thing, it was totally tasteless. I am very confident Kim Gary can done much better than this shit.

Overall, just another average cafe. I bet the Six Inch name was came from their signature food, Six Inch hot dog where it doesn't caught our interest because it just look too ordinary and I bet it is same with GSC cinema. Beat me if I am wrong.

I am interested to coming back here for other foods but not until they improved their service. Thanks for ruining my Christmas lunch Six Inch.

Tin Hou Temple

* Tin Hou Temple *
* Guan Yin *
* The Ox eye *

Was checking on my memory card and found out that I got some pictures I never post before. Since my last attempt on shooting at Petaling Street, I feel like changing environment and try to shoot at temple. So, with my partner in crime we went ahead to Tin Hou Temple on Saturday morning for some shutter spam.

* He just tired *
* Wanna have a ride? *
* Sweeping *
* Silhouette *

Honestly I though I could shoot abit landscape and architecture here but unfortunately my mind and eye keep hunting for human to shoot. I guess I just couldn't make it my mind nor focus on what I should do. Nevertheless, I do believe there is always a new thing and challenge for me to face.

* Lotus *
* Cleaner *
* Praying *
* Fortune telling *

Bringing up my one and only gear again, Olympus E-P3. to the temple. From my last shooting, I was complaining my Tamron 90mm was abit too tight, thus I am bringing my newly bought Olympus OM 50mm f1.4 and also Olympus M.Zuiko 12mm f2.

* Dramatic Tone *
* Pop Art *

Once in a while I am tempted to play around with my camera built in Art Filter. I do rarely shoot this and I am kinda the type of person what I see what I want in my photo. Means I am the type want my photo to be exactly same like what I see with my eye in terms of colors. But I guess no harm in changing my style once in a while.

* Young man *
* Lens Flare *
* Comfort Zone *
* Now she is tired *

Not much moving target for me to shoot and I give up very fast on that day. Guess I still enjoying shooting at street where we get to see alot interesting subject. I am going to Penang this weekend. Hopefully I can do some shutter spam at there!

ZTE Acqua review: a budget Android Smartphone

Android Smartphone has been around a while and it is no stranger that alot phone manufacture join the game now. One of them of course ZTE who known as release Android phones with a very tempting price. One of them will be the phone I going to review today, ZTE Acqua that launch in Malaysia few months ago with RRP RM699. Let's take a deeper look on the phone.

I can't help it but feel the ZTE Acqua design is very much inspired by HTC. The phone is measured by 120.5mm x 63.6mm x 10.9mm and weighted on 130g with battery. It is very solid when on hand. Packed with 4 inch of 480 x 800 pixels, this is one of the large screen budget phone you can find. I have no complain on the display, it was just alright though sometimes it look more blueish.

Like all Android phone, it has 4 capacitive button on bottom - Menu, Home, Back and Search. On the left side of the phone is the micro USB and on right side is volume rocket. Power button was located on top of the phone as well as 3.5mm headphone jack.

The back matte cover design is pretty nice and I totally in love with the texture. Take out the back cover, you will get to see 1600 mAh battery capacity, full SIM slot and also microSD slot that support up to 32GB. There is a 3.2MP camera with LED flash as well and also 0.3MP front facing camera for video call.

Inside the phone is packed with a 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM7227A Snapdragon Cortex-A5 processor and also 512MB RAM. The single core processor just right enough for daily smooth sailing with not so heavy apps like games. Finally, 4GB internal memory.

The phone is running on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. Not the latest OS up to date and I do feel a little sluggish on the interface. It can be worst if I start throwing widget around on the homescreen. Other than that, ZTE doesnt customize much on the Android skin and let it be vanilla - simple and plain.

Just like most of the manufacture, ZTE Acqua has quick toggle button on the notification panel.

One of my favourite customization from ZTE is the Mi-EasyAccess where you get quick access to selected apps on your lockscreen. It can be activated by using two finger to perform zoom on the lock screen (Zoom on the green color lock). Unfortunately it has a very laggy and slow animation.

Unlike pure Vanilla Android where a folder can be easily created by overlay two shortcut apps, ZTE Acqua required to hold on the apps and a FOLDER menu will appear on top of the screen.

ZTE doesnt have any keyboard customization for Acqua. It came with preload Android Vanilla Keyboard and also TouchPal Keyboard for those who love to use SWYPE. It has a pretty good accuracy and easy to use.

Tested with the GPS aka using Google Map. It tooks around 1 minute to lock my position (with internet connection of course. Eventhough it is slow, but still it is pretty accurate.

Using stock browser on the ZTE Acque is pretty good as well. It render the page very fast and almost free lag when browsing.

Not to mention, ZTE Acqua done a pretty much good job in running social networking apps such as Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. I never face any crash nor problem when running all this apps that I used most of the time in my daily life.

Playing video doesn't seem a problem for ZTE Acqua as well. Thanks to the 4 inch size screen, watching video with this phone very enjoyable.

Unfortunately there was a lag when playing game especially those highly customized graphic game. The hardware just simply couldn't support it.

I was informed ZTE Acqua came with two variant, 5MP and 3.2MP camera. Unfortunately Malaysia unit are 3.2MP model and the camera pretty disappointing.

All image taken has very serious blue tint on it (with auto white balance) and it is impossible to get a good shot in low light as well. The auto focus is very slow as well and I easily miss a shot when my subject moved away.

As I mentioned earlier the ZTE Acqua was packed with 1600 mAh battery. Generally it is sufficient enough for a daily used unless you're hardcore enough for gaming, web browsing and taking photo none stop and we are afraid 3-4 hours is not enough for you.

Overall, ZTE Acqua is aiming to stand up against it's competitor with a very cheap price and in the same time, giving you a premium feeling and quality built. I have no complain on this phone since the performance is pretty much up to my expectation except the camera. I would recommend this phone for people who simply need a smart phone for normal daily social used but refused to fork out huge amount of money.
