Ding Tea

In this past one year, the milk tea trend has become more and more in Malaysia. Is like mushroom growing anywhere. Chatime, Ochado, ShareTea, GongCha and whatever mut-chat I believe is no longer stranger to anyone. In my area (Setapak), ShareTea, Ochado and Chatime was located on same row at the new PV building. Now, there is brand new tea shop that located same row with them, Ding tea.

First impression when heard Ding Tea, sound like DENG! Tea to me LOL..They having promotion for grand opening on that day itself, buy any of the tea in list for RM1 only. Which is pretty much good deal because if not nice, only RM1 ma.

The queue was damn long and packed. Obviously it will always happen whenever there is promotion like buy 1 free 1 etc. Being Malaysian with kiasuness attitude i ordered two for myself and Betina.

We got ourself Taro Milk tea and Caramel Milk Tea. Ok, taste wise pretty decent and normal. Nothing to shout - no offence i feel ComeBuy Taro Milk tea is way nicer. Price wise, go look at those other tea shop price and you gonna go over "DENG! Same price again".

Too many this kind of tea nowdays with no variation and speciality. What should i pay Rm5.90 for a damn milk tea when I go tit for 2-3 bucks at Pasar Malam? The only milk tea that still worth going was Gong Cha, my beloved Signature Winter Melon Tea. But, i am started getting bored of it and reducing it...huhuhu healthy lifestyle here i come!

The Lorax 3D Special Screening

Courtesy of Churpchurp I get to catch up The Lorax screening in 3D. The Lorax is a children's book written by Dr. Seuss, which i never read before. But from what i search at Wikipedia, the movie is same with the story book.

From the Makers of Despicable Me. Despite warnings from the tree-loving Lorax, a greedy entrepreneur strips a forest of its stock of Truffula trees to manufacture clothing.

From the same maker of Despicable Me, you will get to see the same similar style on character design and also their performance. What i love is each of the characters has wonderful characteristic. It make the animation look lively. The fishes pretty remind me the minion from Despicable Me - cute, funny, stupid.

However, the storyline pretty plain. Not inspiring enough. The only things that hold me up from falling asleep was the cute and lively character animation. The lighting was just ok and color are vibrant.

Nevertheless, i believe the target audiences are mostly for children and of course, for The Lorax fans who has been reading the story book since young. Thus, all the logic behind the story won't be discusses here. That's also explain the vibrant and colorful in this animation.

Catch up The Lorax in cinema next week. At least,the moral behind the story related much to our current country situation, LYNAS if you wanna be specific. It would be good movie to instill and enchant the meaning behind this story in every kids. Oh save your money, dont watch 3D. Nothing to shout.

Black Pepper Bat Kut Teh @ SekMeChoy Restaurant

Last night, Nelson ask few of us for a dinner at SekMeChoy Restaurant. According to him, the restaurant was famous with Black Pepper Bat Kut Teh. Without considering much, i agree! I am pork lover, BKT lover or whatever related with pork, i wun miss it.

SekMeChoy Restaurant was located at Salak South, Jalan Besar. The old road if you wanna know where and this restaurant located directly opposite the police station. It is easy to spot with big restaurant sign but hard to get parking.

* Somebody got a new PSVita that full with finger print *

What is your first impression when talk about Black Pepper? Sauce? Black color? Oh yea, tats what i am imagining while waiting the BKT to be served. Ended up, a big disappointment for me. It just a regular BKT with soup + black pepper inside...overload black pepper...

* Black Pepper BKT *

Seriously, it just like i am drinking the damn black pepper instead of healthy herbal soup of BKT. Pork meat is ok, normal and nth to shout about. It wasn't expensive as well, RM9.50 per pax.

* Overall shot, topping with the Needle Mushroom *

* Toufu hakka style...look and tatse like steamed egg for me *

* Yau mak *

So far, nothing beat Kaka BKT (soup) and YipYong BKT (dry) that located near my area. Don't talk about Klang BKT with me, i never been to Klang before..Maybe someday, someday....someday

O'Briens Irish Sandwich Café Food Review @ Mid Valley

If you ask me is this same like Subway, then i can answer you NOP! Eventhough O'Briens is selling sandwiches, they are selling healthy sandwiches. All their sauce are home made and meats are fresh. O'Briens is a very casual cafe that served sandwiches and coffee as well.

I am lucky to be invited for the food review at Mid Valley outlet. It was located next to Jusco at lower ground. They have a very cute menu as well. Looks like a flyer or envelop and make you feel like bringing it back home (I did LOL).

Below are the food I get chance to test out. It was highly recommended ;)

Soup of the day is Mushroom Soup RM6.50. The soup is thick, creamy and most importance is, rich with mushroom taste. Superb!

Classic Caesar Salad RM16.00 contain parmesan cheese, chicken cutlets, chicken crisp, crouton, olive, mixed leaves and homemade caesar dressing. The chicken crisp is awesome! It make the whole salad feel crispy when u take a bite on it.

Chicken Tripledecker RM18.80 is one of the best seller. It has the chicken crisp inside too and really recommended for big eater.

Chicken Slice & Cheddar Cheese RM15.80 come with Fresh Tomato, Onion, Lettuce and Honey Mustard Mayonnaise. The chicken slice and cheddar cheese match perfectly that they doesn't fight for each other. You get best of two in a world.

Chicken, Chicken Crisp and Cheddar Rm16.50 looks like kebab or chicken and cheese tortilla. It served together with none salty potatoes chip. Definitely healthy ;)

High in Vitamin RM12.00 is a drink that contain various of fruits. You can find banana, pineapple juice, frozen yogurt and crushes ice inside this drink. Don;t ask me why, i just simply love Banana. Trust me, it taste awesome ;)

Overall, I am very satisfy with O'Briens food. It was a right food to get if you are looking for something casual and healthy. Price wise, it might pricey but hey, healthy and quality food come with a price. It was quite reasonable if you ask me.

I'll be back again here next time ;)
