Park City Run 2012 : 5 KM Journey

I believe everything has first time. I joined my first marathon (if 5KM is consider as :P) in life! No I never participate in school level merentas desa because I always skip it by doing duty in St John. Thanks to my colleague pressure I joined the Park City Run this morning.

* Somehow it looks like Pork City Run *

You see, most of the sport I play involved hand only - Badminton, Bowling, Ping pong and Chess. I don't like to run in long term with my leg because I know I can't do it. I am born with heavy leg thus running long term easily cause my leg pain. Ok excuses I know. I just hate to run because I am short and fat! wee

* There I know you won't have other chance to see me wear like that *

So, I reach the location kinda early. Woke up on 4am, stone on bed for 30 min, then brush my teeth, bring the shirt and I am good to drive all the way to Kepong. Reach there around 5.40am and I continue stone in car until 6.30am and I walk to the destination.

I actually feel blur when reach there. I did not meet any of my colleague. I become lone ranger. Wonder around the International school looking for the starting point and finally I found it. It was pretty crowded but I manage to squeeze myself into the crowds.

* Warming up *

Sharp 7am the run begin for 5KM category. Here begin my most sweatful journey.

* There the starting point *

1 KM Journey : I run pretty fast on the first KM. I manage to cut many other participants while playing awesome Kamen Rider song from my phone. That's what increase my spirit on continue to run.

2 KM Journey : After the first KM, i started to walk. My leg started giving me problem. Probably I am overweight because I felt that my shoe failed to absorb all the impact. My throat is so dry that time that I though I gonna faint anytime soon. I could only blame myself why I didn't drink any water before came here. Luckily, half way there is a water station. Walk towards it, grab a cup and ta daaa! I am revive! But still continue walking...

3 KM Journey : Saw a cute girl in front me. Feeling motivated and decided to run pass through her. Once I turn around and look back, FML ugly like shit. It just remind me the joke that Ken always did last time.. "Hau pin tai dou hou chi yat due fa, pong pin tai dou mung cha cha, chin pin jao diu niama" - Direct Translate : Looks like flower from the back, look very blur from side and when look in front, look like your mama. ok no offence :) I started demotivated back until I saw a really pretty girl and tail at her back. Motivation alive! However she run away later on but I didn't chase her. I know, I will meet her again later on..which it really happen :P

* Saw awesome sun rise but too bad my sis Nikon S5100 failed to perform *
* Another fail sun rise shot *

4 KM Journey : Hey look! dogs!

5 KM Journey : I am still tailing the pretty girl. Saw the finishing line, feeling happy and feel like run towards in until I realize, FML need to U-Turn to reach the finishing line. But still, I manage to complete the run on time. Hooray 5KM journey ended!!

Damage : Well nothing much except my left leg. I know it is me who usually used more energy on left leg regardless I am walking or running. My breath still stay strong actually. If only my leg doesn't act up, I might really can run towards the whole run.

Got my very first medal from running! Guess what, the only medal I have in life is from Chess competition.

Done the run, hang around, take pictures.

Free drinks around. Milo, 100 plus, mineral water and also corn flakes!

Finally brunch time! Thanks for the free food from sport club. Well not exactly free, we do paid the fees every month anyway..So theoretically is still our money.

* Revive after change my clothes *

* Sinful brunch after the run *

Overall, nice experience. It is pretty fun and I know I AM NOT GONNA JOIN any run again until I have confident. At least, lemme diet and cut down my blardy weight first.

Daily Life in Petaling Street

* Preparing *

It was last Saturday I give up on resting at home and grab my gear to shoot at Petaling Street. Yup! It is street shooting time! I still remember the first street shooting I ever done was in Melaka back to last year. During that time I was using Helios 58mm f2, manual lens to shoot.

* Breakfast *
* Deep thinking *
* Hunting *

In the previous post (which is last year post...) I did share abit tips on my own understanding and I learned my lesson not to use manual lens anymore since it is too much hassle to adjust the focus ring and I might lost my opportunity to capture the moment especially my Olympus E-P3 being world fastest (not now but still faster than alot DSLR out there) auto focus camera! I shall fully utilize the AF speed by mounting on proper lens and I am pretty sure the moment I lift up my camera and press the shutter button I am good to go to capture any moments.

* Not happy? *
* Eating on the street *
* Pork rice *

Though I learn my lesson on the past experience, I did it again this time! I actually just bought a Tamron 90mm f2.5 macro lens and hand itchy to use this lens to shoot instead my trustworthy Olympus Zuiko 14-54mm II f2.8-3.5 lens.

* Waiting for customer *
* Alone *
* Family *

A little story of my new lens, Tamron 90mm f2.5. Nop this is not the current Tamron SP 90mm f2.8 lens but is it predecessors before it turn into digital. It is a manual lens with 1:1 magnificent. The built was very solid, fully metal and damn heavy. Feel like a tank and easily make my hand shake when I was shooting. 39cm minimum focusing distance, 9 blades, 10 elements and 9 group of glasses and 410g weight if you're interested with the spec. I am happy with my purchase and I am very sure this is one hell legend and rare lens.

* Homeless *
* Winnie the Pooh *
* On duty..maybe not *

I am not really a Macro shooter but I do interest to learn it. Beside being a Macro lens, I am very sure it is one of the hell lens that awesome for portrait shot...but I found too tight for street shooting. After all 50mm is still much more recommended. Maybe next round I shall bring along my Olympus OM 50mm f1.4 to play with (I been shooting with this lens on my Carlsberg Where's the Party last two weeks!)

* Testing Macro on food *
* Testing Macro on food *
* Testing Macro on eye. Check out the eye reflection *

Feel so good walking around Petaling Street on the morning. Get to see their early morning preparation for business and I do notice quite alot elder people still working there. No doubt it is one of the famous tourist spot.

* Phone camera can easily replace compact camera nowday *
* Beggar with Mc Donald cup *

I wanna start to adapt the habit of doing street shooting at least 2-3 times per month. I wanna explore more street for this purposes. So any recommendation where I can go? Maybe I shall do night street shooting as well. I don't mind having 2-3 friends follow around, anyone? :D

The Twilight Saga : Breaking Dawn Part 2 Premier Screening

Courtesy to Nuffnang I get to watch The Twilight Saga : Breaking Dawn Part 2 Premier Screening last night.

After the birth of Renesmee, the Cullens gather other vampire clans in order to protect the child from a false allegation that puts the family in front of the Volturi.

Seriously I felt this instalment is pretty unnecessaries. As far as I remember, previous Twilight engaging quite alot emotion in slow pace but this one stuff happen pretty quick. Yes plothole everywhere. Somehow the Breaking Dawn part 1 and part 2 can easily merge together by removing unnecessaries drama and tapao in one movie straight.

To my surprise Kristen Stewart show more facial expression. That's mean she feel more alive when she is vampire? Jacob pedophiled Renesmee, Bella daughter seem very quickly acceptable by them and Jacob gonna call Edward father. This movie better related with Underworld! :P

Plot seem pretty draggy all the way until the ending when the battle start. That's the only part where I feel much better watching on head rip off here and there without blood coming out. Vampire don't have blood? Of coz, expect some unexpected twist and overall it was happy ending. Last thing I almost forgot mention, CGI seem low budget this time.

Movie gonna release today! Go catch at cinema and end this saga! ;P

Rise of the Guardians 3D Premier Screening

Courtesy to Nuffnang I get to watch Rise of the Guardians Premier Screening before it release in Malaysia.

When the evil spirit Pitch launches an assault on Earth, the Immortal Guardians team up to protect the innocence of children all around the world.

One of the animation that I am die to watch once I saw the first trailer (the one without Jack Frost in) last year at cinema. It just like all fairy tale characters in one movie fighting for evil cause. Yes I know it pretty remind you of The Avengers. I can also say it pretty remind me of Kamen Rider movie or Ultraman when different Rider and Ultraman under one movie LOL

Anyway, I was pretty disappointed on the plot. Maybe my expectation too high since it was from a creator of How to Train your Dragons. The plot is lack of some engaging emotion and nice background music. It would be nice if the story was dark but I guess I can't expect that much from children animation.

I was expecting some awesome battle as well but unfortunately everything happen quick fast and easy. Sandman easily over powered Boogeyman (Oh yea, Loki VS Hulk scene in The Avengers!). Felt too little screen time for other characters as well since it focused on Jack Frost and Santa more.

Though I expecting alot stuff, I still pretty enjoy the animation. It is fun to watch. Catch this animation with your children coming this Thursday! In 3D? probably nop!
