Genting Snow World launch and Day out at Theme Park

Snow world at Genting!!! I lost track when was my last time been here. Maybe when I as 6-7 years old. Nevertheless, I went to the Genting Snow World launch last week with deary. We are given complimentary passes too to play at theme park after the launch over! wee!

The interior doesnt seem change as far as I remember. I gotta admit it is very very cool! My nose doesn't seem to able to sense anything the whole time when inside. However I still able to took off my glove and use my camera to shoot the launch. Well, I hardly press any button on my camera with glove on ;(

We greeted by performances, magic show and greeting from Dato Kevin for the launch. I used Olympus OM 50mm f1.4 all the way and just figured out my manual focus skill sucks. Sigh not sure is the camera LCD screen tricked me or I suck.

For your information, there are few latest attraction in Snow World :

  • Winter Downtown and World Heritage Concept
  • L.E.D. Animation Scheme
  • The Lookout Point
  • Warm House
  • Play Slide or Cresta Run Slide

Of course besides for the daily visit, the Snow World is also now open for special functions such as parties and private events. So if you are interested, just call Genting team who can assist you further in answering to your needs. Snow World is located at Level T2A, First World Plaza. Well, pictures time before we head out to warm ourself and cameras.

After done everything, we are brought to lunch at Coffee Terrace. Pretty cool fusion asian restaurant. Too bad no picture from me since my camera need time to get warm and free from all mist. Later on was free and easy time before head back to KL. That's mean, time for theme park!!

It will be my first time at theme park with le gf. Didn't manage to play any extreme one since we are still pretty full from lunch. Scare vomit ahhh.. Too bad the sky decided to rain 2 hour earlier before our departure time to back KL. Leave us no choice but to hangout at Starbucks. Anyway, pics time :P

Ignore some pics color. Just testing with some custom white balance and it look too red piff.. Anyway, it was a nice experience with Genting. Thanks for inviting ;)

p/s le gf addressing my hair as Sun Flower for whole day that day. Look like mehhh!?

GAB’S Octoberfest High Finale

Octoberfest has officially ended and we welcome November already don't we? Guinness Anchor Berhad (GAB), the leading beer and stout company ended its month-long Oktoberfest celebration with a bang last weekend at Patio Bar & Lounge, Genting Highlands for two consecutive nights. Dubbed Oktoween, the two nights were celebrated together with Halloween and featured the official Oktoberfest beer in Germany – the Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier.

Yap Swee Leng, Marketing Director of GAB said “GAB is always committed to bringing more innovative drinking experiences to our consumers for all occasions. We are proud to offer the Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier - one of the most iconic beers of which many have claimed successfully ‘bottled’ the excitement of an authentic Oktoberfest in Germany".

Beer aficionados were treated to two nights of fun-packed activities with German-infused food, and a vast selection of GAB’s award-winning beers - Tiger, Guinness, Heineken, Anchor, Kilkenny, Strongbow and Paulaner.

Gorgeous Oktoberfest brand ambassadors kept punter’s spirits high – snapping photos and engaging them in various fun activities like Chicken Dance Ala Thriller, Mr & Ms Oktoween Oppa Gangnam Style, Beer Stein Holding and Glass Swaying games.

A live band kept the crowd highly entertained throughout the two nights of GAB’s Oktoween celebrations. Patrons toasted loudly in German, “Prost!” while lucky winners of the games walked away with Oktoberfest collectible merchandises.

GAB strongly believes in providing value added drinking experiences to our consumers through multiple engagement platforms such as Oktoberfest, St. Patrick’s Day and Arthur’s Day and we are proud that these three international events have now become permanent fixtures in Malaysia’s event calendar,” Swee Leng added.

That's conclude the awesome and epic month-long Octoberfest celebration! We shall celebrate again next year! Till then, Pros!!

Genting Embrace Your Potential event‏ @ Chin Swee Temple

Disclaimer : This post is sponsored by RWGenting

Last weekend, I was invited for a 2 days 1 night trip to Chin Swee Temple at Genting Highland to embrace my inner potential through the workshop there. Well to put it simple, it is a workshop that allow me able to know myself, or my true self more and also allow me to connect with the energy.

Before any program started, we are invited to have lunch first at Chin Swee Temple Vegetarian Restaurant. Here are the awesome lunch I had on that day.

* Slice Fish In Thai Style *
Abalone Mushroom In Creamy Sauce  *
* Bean Curd With Ceder Shoot *
* Mixed Vegetable Curry *
* Soup of The Day *

Later, the workshop begin. Li Yen and David Bao became our facilitator For both day. On the day 1 workshop, we learn how to feel and measure energy and understand the body energy system through the chakras through few activities and experiment we did. Well, I din manage to snap any pictures during that time as in I wanna concentrate on the learning period.

* Li Yen surrounded us with some smoked before entering the meeting room *

Later on evening, we learn how to relax into the flow through the fluid movements of tai chi. Yes, basically we learned few basic tai chi from David Bao. Through the tai chi, we do learn how to connect our energy during performing the movement. In tai chi, everything is about balance, yin and yang, positive and negative.

* David Bao showing us Tai Chi *
* If you guys don't know, he is Champion for Wushu competition in year 2006 *

Of course, if any of you interested to learn tai chi, it is advisable to learn from a tai chi master. It is not working if you learn yourself by watching the movement from video because you will never learn how to connect your energy during performing the tai chi. Of course, feel free to seek for David if you interested to learn ;)

Finally, dinner are served by Chin Swee Temple Vegetarian Restaurant again.

*Kung Po Squids *
* Assam Fish *
* Bean Curn With Luffa *
* Salt and Pepper Mushroom *
* Seaweed Soup *

After dinner, we are back to the meeting room and do some coloring! We are required to color 2 mandala. For the first mandala, we have to pick up any color randomly without looking at it and color layer by layer. For the second, we can pick any color we like and color it whichever we want it to be. Well how's my mandala look like? Will reveal to you later on :P

After done with the mandala, the day 1 workshop was officially over. Finally, a rest after a long day journey ;)

On day 2, we were required to gathered at Sky Terrace on 7am to perform a meditation. We have a walk around there for 10 minute with a condition - put awareness on ownself and observe our own walking movement.

* Measuring stress level before meditation start *

Later, we are doing a real meditate LOL..we sat down at Sky Terrace in the early morning that had cold wind and thick fog surrounding us. We did a quick visualization as well as breathing method to relax ourself. Of course, we are still have to put awareness on our ownself. I guess it is pretty good for me since my stress reading actually went down after the meditation. We had a quick breakfast before proceed to our final lesson.

* Li Yen instructing us the way to meditate *

Remember the Mandala that i colored on previous night? Well here what i colored :P

Yes, after breakfast we back to the meeting room to discuss the mandala we colored. According to Li Yen, the first mandala we colored was actually represent our attitude and the second represent our true self. Well, I actually do know an dbelieve that colored are playing an important role and also a type of psychology in our life.

Honestly, the 2nd mandala i colored really truely represent myself :P I am not gonna tell you guys what it is, why don't you all comment and and tell me your opinion? ;) After that, we required to draw a card from the oracle set. I guess it is pretty good message for me for d oracle card i draw.

After this, the workshop is officially over. We check out the Goh Tong hall and head for lunch before back to KL.

Through this 2 days workshop, I really felt that it is important to have self awareness and know yourself better. It helps you to form yourself to a better man. Meditation would be one of the way to do so when you're visualize and aware of yourself.

* Group photo with other bloggers and Li Yen*

Of course, if any of you interested the workshop, you might wanna contact Li Yen to seek for advice ;)

Thanks to Nuffnang and Genting for the meaningful trip. Honestly, I do learn alot :)
