Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters Premier Screening

Courtesy to Nuffnang, I get to watch Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters premier screening before it release in cinema.

After getting a taste for blood as children, Hansel (Jeremy Renner) and Gretel (Gemma Arterton) have become the ultimate vigilantes, hell bent on retribution. Now, unbeknownst to them, Hansel and Gretel have become the hunted, and must face an evil far greater than witches...their past.

Another fairy tale adaption movie with a twist. Honestly I have no idea Hansel & Gratel is from fairy tale until I saw the candy house. The first 10 minutes of the movie are exactly what the story book are except with a little twist to fit into this whole boring movie.

Don't get me wrong! I said it is bored coz of dull, predictable and no brainer story line. Very straight forward story telling where they fight fight fight, lose to the main boss, then keep fight fight fight, win! I would said the movie covered pretty much on action but a little disappointment on the gore part. They should do it more!

Not much character development in this movie. Jeremy Renner as Hansel in this movie pretty dull, lazy and half hearted. Since both Hansel and Gretel are witch hunters, I pretty much expecting they have good combat skill or at least, they are good with their weapon. But throughout the whole movie they failed to nailed down any of the witch with their gun or crossbow. The side character, Benjamin can even shoot down the evil witch with a shot when the witch are running away. Dafuq shame on you witch hunters!

I though it gonna be alot troll as well in the movie but apparently only one troll who named as Edward. Troll much? :P There is also white witch who does nothing beside spread some holy water on the weapon. Hansel who said have to take inject some medicine each few hours or else he will die seem forgotten by the director because he can survive for few days before the last battle without inject any of the medicine.
