KL Bird Park Revisit and Hungry Hog

Back to 3 years, it is my first time visiting KL Bird Park and i went there for shooting not long after I got myself my first DSLR. Went there on last Saturday together with Nelson & Celine.

 

Not reli experiences in shooting wild life. Thus, i just shoot according my feeling and did some composition that i feel relevant.

 

Another main purpose of this shooting was to test out my 14-54mm f2.8-3.5 lens that i don't have chance to test out during Tiger AMF concert. My testing was base on 2 things, sharpness and color.

 

 

Looking through all my photo and compare back to the last time, it seem my skill not much difference :( Guess i cant be wild life photographer, no patient LOL..

 

 

After done with Birding session, we went to porking session with Mark at The Hungry Hog, SS15. Couldn't resist myself, I ordered 3 little pig again. I think this is d best in the menu.

 

Overall, it was nice and relaxing shooting. Good thing none of us got hit by bird shit.More photo is in my Facebook page :)

Marvel’s The Avengers Premiere Screening

Courtesy to Nuffnang, I get to watch Marvel’s The Avengers Premiere Screening few hour before it release in cinema. So guys, Captain America, Ironman, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye and Black Widow in a movie, anyone? I am sure you all hype up for it!

Continuing the epic big-screen adventures started in "Iron Man," "The Incredible Hulk," "Iron Man 2," "Thor" and "Captain America: The First Avenger," "Marvel's The Avengers" is the superhero team up of a lifetime. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as SHIELD, finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins. "Marvel's The Avengers" is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series "The Avengers," first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since. Prepare yourself for an exciting event movie, packed with action and spectacular special effects, when "Marvel's The Avengers" assemble in summer 2012.

One word for this movie. SAW - SUPERB! AWESOME! WATCH! This definitely one of the best movie i ever watch this year. I enjoy sitting and watching for the 2.5 hours and totally cant find any weaknesses in this movie. The director smartly setup all characters in 1.5 hours and the last 30 minute was the war, like transformer 3.

 

 

Surprisingly Hawkeye got more screenplay in a movie than i expected. His accuracy as an archer is like in comic, 100% hit! Black Widow done a great job too in a movie, not much sex appeal :P Captain America just fine but doesnt seem shine much compare to others. His helmet still look funny.

 

 

Tony Stark might be the funniest character but, not until when Hulk appear. As I always told my friends, he is the strongest in The Avengers. Not even Thor can lay a scratch on him. Watch it to believe it ;)

 

 

Overall, it is a great movie! The only thing that doesnt make sense was Hulk able to receiving order from Captain America in the end of the battle when Hulk himself cant even control himself.

 

 

Regardless you are fans of Marvels heroes or not, this movie definitely worth to watch. I will be watching again next tuesday ;) Too bad, not 3D version.

Hot-Star Large Fried Chicken @ SS15

My colleague tempt me with this shop, Hot-Star Large Fried Chicken on a Saturday, a working day for me. According to him this shop and fried chicken is very famous in Taiwan. I doubt it and claim that the fried chicken definitely taste like uncle bob. Because i tried numerous of so called Taiwan fried chicken and yes, it taste like Uncle bob.

To prove him wrong, i went to Hot-Star Large Fried Chicken with Betina before head to Tiger AMF. It was located at SS15, just right opposite Asia Cafe. It has a baby blue color sign board, I am sure you will easily notice it.

There are differences choices and flavour to choose from. Of course, there is a set too combo with a drink. Well, since my purpose is just to try, I ordered a refreshing combo - Hot combo where it came with Spicy Large Fried Chicken + Traditional Grass Herbal tea for RM10.95. Yea, eat heaty stuff must drink herbal tea to cool it back LOL..

So yeap, the fried chicken is served in less than 10 minutes. My first impression when looking them preparing it for me, they toss damn alot chilly/curry/ or whatever spicy powder you called it. For me, damn MSG kaw kaw!

But i have to say, yes the chicken it large. Almost like or maybe bigger than common chicken chop size. Taste wise? As i expected, it taste like Uncle Bob chicken. I don't know how it taste actually in taiwan but right now, the 1 i taste is no doubt uncle bob taste.

Well, if you plan to give it a try to this chicken, be really really drink alot water! I was having terrible cough on the next day and fever on the following day. Ok maybe is not the chicken fault, maybe because i drink too much beer from Tiger AMF. Anyway, prevent better than cure right? ;P

The World's Best Sandwich

Wow! World Best Sandwich! Who would though such title was won by our own local chef, Darren Chin. He was the winner of the 9th Delifrance Sandwich World Cup held in Paris earlier this year. If you dont know, he was son of Dave's Deli's founder. He won the competition with his unique sandwich, char siew sandwich.

We are luckily enough to be invited to One Utama last Sunday to witness the live demonstration. Honestly, who would tod so many preparation to be done just to make a sandwich, whats more, this is world best sandwich we are talking about.

 

Well, i bet this would interest and inspired alot people who love to cook. My personal opinion, i wouldn't go through so much hassle just for a sandwich. I would just get myself a maggie mee..Unless, i was preparing it for someone i love.

In addition, the event features another chef, Hubert Ly from French. He demonstrate to us his "Agrums", Passion Fruit Macaroon, and Financier Classic French Tea Cake.

 

Looking on the effort and spirit both chef putting on their sandwich and cake, it makes my heart moved. It really not an easy task and i do believe, passion and heart is one of the key element to make a successful sandwich and cake.

Of course, we are allowed to taste some of the sandwich and cake there and i love them all. Wish i could eat all of them muahaha!!

My Generasi - Being Superheroes Behind the Scene

Last time in University, i always wanted to have a team of production to create a short animation or short film. Why? Because i love film/movie. It is d reason why I took 3D animation (which i pretty sure i am cool in doing movie production as well). However stuff doesnt went to my wish. However, this year, i found gems among my friends. We form a small groups (known as FrapTV) and started of our very first project, My Generasi for JinnyBoy contest. We made it :D our very first video production.

To answer all your doubt and question, we the location at the shooting place was Yippy Cup and the park outside One Utama. I think it is first time for Eric tried to make a film on his own. Well, if you want to know, he is the one who hold the cameras and write the script as well. Thumb up for him ;)

 

 

 

I pick up the editing part since i got free time LOL..too lifeless this few days but great to have something on hand to work on. Spend 3 night editing and yupz, it might look normal editing but is not easy to edit sound that came out from a phone. I tried to make it as close as if it came out from external mic.

 

 

 

Too bad, the bloody youtube screw up the sound. If u watch the video it has ZzzZzzz sound. I wonder it is because i set too high bit rate and youtube couldn't take it. Oh well, learn my mistake and will be aware for next time.
