Bad Day and Secret of Louisiana

I just had a bad day yesterday. Whatever I do nothing working smooth. Was supposingly having a bowling match with colleague but plan cancel on the day itself when few of them cant make it. Thus, plan pretty much fast change that both me and betina agree to have dinner at Bulgogi Brothers. They have 50% promotion in Mid Valley in occasion of brand new opening. While happily waiting out awesome dinner, I drive out to KL from office to collect some stuff. After collect my stuff, ended up I cant start up my car. It seem battery just died on me. FML! So ended up, my car kena towed.

Oh yea very bad day. Since everything settle after my car revived, it is pretty late already. Dinner plan seem crumble away thanks to the terrible jam and rain around Federal Highway. To avoid stupid decision and make my day worst, I decided to dine in at Secret of Louisiana at Plaza Kelana Jaya. Well at least it is near le betina office and no jam.

Been heard alot about this restaurant. They served awesome spaghetti buffet on mon-sat lunch time only with only RM15. Le Betina try before but she felt that nothing special on their spaghetti. Well no comment.

I pretty much love their interior despite lousy front door. It would be romantic to dine in beside the lake but le betina said once in a while the lake will have funny smell =__=" ok it seriously kill off the mood.

Me : I stare on the lake just now. So romantic with the wind blowing. Then suddenly I can see blardy thunder strike for two times.

Then Betina start laughing on my stupidity.

* Original American Cheese Burger RM 26.90 *

So I ordered the Original American Cheese Burger since it is under chef recommendation. Well it actually has ground beef with BBQ sauce. I hardly able to taste the BBQ sauce since the beef taste seem heavier. Plus, I don't really feel the beef is nice. Pretty much same taste with Ramli beef burger. Sorry but no offence. The fries also very hard to chew and the spies doesn't mix evenly around.

* Jerky Jerk Chicken RM 29.90 *

le Betina ordered Jerky Jerk Chicken since it is under daily meal of something like that because it come with free drinks and an Ice Cream as dessert. The chicken come with rice that full with aromatic spices. Honestly I love the rice. Maybe it is me who love to eat rice. Din get to try out the chicken but le betina said too hard to chew and cut. Probably wrong type of chicken. The sauce that come with the chicken is black pepper chicken.

Finally the Ice Cream dessert. It is mint with some funny mocha taste. Not the best Ice Cream I ever had.

Though food taste just so-so, what most important is I manage to cheers myself up after all the long bad day I face. Of course, I am dining with the most important person in my life :)

The Fear

Everyone has fears. Everyone live in fears isn't? For me, I am afraid of death. Maybe you all don't believe in me but I actually met death for 3 times.

The first death I almost met was when I was young. I am buying something on a shop and I saw my dad drive away his car. Feeling scare and curious why he do that, I quickly run to cross the road, without realizing there is a car heading towards me. Thanks for the power or brake, the driver actually manage to brake on time without hitting me. It just like 1CM distant in between us. I am safe...

The second death I almost met was when I am having high fever when I was 14. During that year, it is no strange if someone easily affected by dengue fever. Mum brought me to clinic to check and that's my first time in life actually my blood being taken away from my body for sample. Not long later, the doctor clinic called and said it is confirmed I got dengue and I am required to admit to hospital ASAP.

So I was actually in hospital and doctor said my condition actually was critical. My high fever doesn't goes down and my blood are taken away from my body for 3 times a day - day, noon and night. I can see my blood was black in color instead of red. I almost give up and though I could never recover. However, miracle just happened on me. Well, I am still blogging here means I haven't die :P

Finally, the last death I met was not long ago. It was two years ago with the car accident I met. It just a strange accident as if someone is controlling my car and bang on it.

If you notice one of my car tyre is being pull out during the accident. Strange, I tod I gonna die the moment my car flip. But I am safe again. Not to mention it just minor injury on my body. If you're curious to know you can click here to check out my accident.

During all the three accident, my vision can see Shinigami (God of Death) appeared in front me. However the last time when he pay visit to me he said to me, "Not yet..".

I am still having phobia driving now especially the same road I had accident. I wish I could face my fear bravely but I can't. Thanks to Astro Fear Factor Fearless Challenge coming next week, this might be the chance for me to conquer my fear.

Courtesy to Astro Fear Factor Malaysia, this year season is open up for some bloggers as well. Is time for me to tell Shinigami "YES, DEFINITELY NOT YET". I have no idea who will win, but can I choose myself? LOL because everyone has the fear to overcome thus it makes the challenge is pretty fair.

Thai Food Delivery

What if I tell you, you finally can had delivery service for Thai food! My friend, Chutipond decided to started up her very first delivery service on Thai food. Here are the list of the menu available at the moment.

* Thai Green Curry Noddle RM 5 *

Thai Green Curry Noodle used the authentic Thai noodles called "Sen Kanom Jeen". It is served with green curry and consists of small cubes of boneless chicken thigh. The curry is not exactly spicy but according to Chutipond she will increase the spiciness. Overall, it is nice and I can feel it is authentic Thai taste in the bowl of noodle.

* Mango Chobi RM 5 *

Instead of coming from one type of rice, this Mango Chobi (sticky rice) come with two type of rice which the blue one actually same with the Nasi Kerabu. The way to enjoy the rice is get half spoon of the white and half spoon of the blue rice and eat together. With that you get the mixture taste and aroma between two rice. Finally eat the Mango and it is perfect. This is really my favourite dish on that night.

* Fried Pork Rice with Egg RM 5 *

Fried pork rice with egg may look like normal dish but it actually one of the famous dish in Thailand. The pork is spicy but still acceptable. What attract me most is the brown rice since it contain more nutrition than the white rice. Highly recommended for any pork lover ;) My gf love it so much though my vote still on Mango Chobi.

* Thai Fish Cake RM 7 (6 Pieces) *

It is their own hand made Thai Fish Cake. It is common street food in Thailand and are very flavourful compared to most Western fish cake recipes. They aren't battered which allows the fresh taste of the fish, spices, and herbs to come through.

* Thai sweet chilli sauce *

Of course, it is best eaten fresh out of the oil while they're still hot and juicy. Served with Thai sweet chili sauce, it will seriously blow your taste away.

* Tab Tim Krob RM 5 *

Finally dessert time! Honestly my first time tried Thai dessert and I already fall in love with it. Tab Tim Krob also known as Water chestnut dumpling with Jack Fruit in Coconut milk. Like the name suggested, it contain waster chestnuts in the bowl. The sweetness of this dessert wasn't from sugar, but on the coconut milk. Not to mention, it has jackfruit taste which I found very unique. Highly recommended for dessert lover ;)

Overall, the Thai food I taste has Thai authentic taste. It just make me feel like home cook as well since most of the dishes are hand made from them.

So where can you get to eat all this? Chutipond actually doing delivery service like I mention earlier. Just head to her Facebook and drop a message to her for your order. Order have to be make two days in advance and currently the delivery only available in Sungai Buloh, Kepong and PJ on anytime. Of course, only RM 1 delivery fees included per receipt.

Sukiya @ Kota Damansara

Just few weeks ago, a new restaurant just opened near my work place. Feeling curious and since it is Japanese food, I brought along Betina to tried it out last week. So, here we are, Sukiya that located at Kota Damansara, right opposite Sunway Giza. They claim to be 2nd Sukiya in Malaysia. Where is the first one? Suki-Ya from Pavilion Tokyo street?

To my surprise the shop seem like packed and the style is fast food style. Yea, self service, self order. Pretty disappointed with the workers there since they cant understand my English or Malay when I requested some enquiries from them.

The bowl display to show various size seem disappointed. The difference prize is almost double but the amount doesnt seem much difference ;/ Nevertheless,I still take the large one just in case I scare I wont feel full.

* Herb Cheese Gyudon (L) RM15.20 *
* Salad set *
* Miso Soup *

I go ahead and grab the Herb Cheese Gyudon with the set salad (get to choose which set + a drink) + Miso Soup. The set is addition actually that cost RM5. Dont feel worth the value for me. Anyway, the beef they used is from aussie. Overall the rice is completely full with beef and I bet beef lover love it. Personally I feel just alright but not the best I ever had. The Ishiyaki Beef Pepper Rice from Watami still the best beef rice I ever had.

* Teriyaki Chicken Mayo Rice (L) RM11.90 *
* Kara-ague set *

Le Betina ordered Teriyaki Chicken Mayo Rice and another set of Kara-ague + Miso soup which cost RM6. Again, the 3 pieces of small ajinamoto chicken is so expensive ;/ might as well buy a big size from Pasar Malam. Tried her chicken and rice for a bit. Nothing to shout about. It just taste alright again and my beef rice taste heavier.

Total cost for the bill that night is RM38.10. Overall, not really a worth dining value for me since with the same price I can dine in at much better japanese restaurant. Plus the environment is noisy with everyone chit chatting as in I am in pasar. Beat the dining leisure purpose.
