Usaid, Carmen & Sharon Convocation @ UCSI 2011

Just back from my uni convocation this morning. The main purposed for me to be there was for 3 people only, my senior Usaid and Carmen from my course and Sharon from Mass Comm :)

Went there around 12.30pm and it was flooded with people around. Sad to say, it hardly to occupied everyone inside there. Hmm guess i need make a plan B for myself for my own convo next year XP

Well, as usual, stuff will get delayed. Waited almost 1 hours and finally, get to meet my both senior :)

UCSI University Unifest 2011

Oh yes i attended my uni Unifest last sat. So how was it? i'll say it is pretty impressed they managed to get Hotlink as their main sponsor (oh my uni is integrated with Hotlink adi anyway). In addition, the managed to invited alot awesome performers! It was none other than Mizz Nina, Kyoto Protocol, Reza Salleh, Bus Company, An Honest Mistake, Ruffneckz, beatboxer Shawn Lee & DJ NickyC!

Honestly everything is perfect in this event! Only 1 thing i dun like..the location! they freaking done it on outdoor! not to mention, is on top the lousy parking mountain..what if rain? sure got mud rite since the idiot mountain parking still on construction and damn 9 7 alot stone and sand. "Oh no worry we got plan B in case rain"..tats what they said..Plan B? we'll c whats d Plan B.

So yea plan B, continue enjoy the concert with raincoat for rescue that gonna stuff u hot till death! Not to mention the ground reli become muddy and wet..our shoe was totally dirty! Being unable bear with the situation, all of us leaved after An Honest Mistake and Mizz Nina peformance. After all they 2 are the reason we here and since they are the first 2 came out to perform, i guess thats reli in our favors.

Honestly, it is great event, great show but..not a great planning in terms of location. Cant reli enjoy the concert to max since it was rain, ground was muddy, idiot ppl with umbrella + wan to dance keep hitting me and dropping their water through umbrella to my body. If only they had done this in hall, i am sure gonna stay there till d ends! Not to mention, i'll bring my DSLR for sure :)

Dun get me wrong, i am excited with this event but i am disappointed with the managing. Pls be freaking consider the weather is ur nightmare whenever u did it outdoor! I am not gonna make myself sick by exposed to rain for the freaking 4~5 hours for ur concert!

Microsoft Imagine Cup 2011 day 2 : Dinner & Result

Imagine Cup 2011 just ended few hours ago! Congratulation to all winners tonite! They did a splendid presentation! FYI the top 3 team was Filius Educata (UCTI), Asia Science (UCTI) and Cyber Knightz (UCTI). All from UCTI eh? :P Before i go on, i would like to blog abit about the dinner itself.

So this are the foods we had for our dinner. Not reli satisfied with it and very disappointed. As 5 star hotel the food was not up to standard =X

Microsoft Imagine Cup 2011 day 2 : Top 6 Final

Just few hours ago, top 6 of Microsoft Imagine Cup 2011 are selected. Lets take a look on the group members and their project overview.

Filius Educata team from UCTI is consisted Mohamed Mahmoud Talaat El Bedwihi, Ong Yi Ling, Desiree Chow and Derek Oii.

Their project titled : Utopyeah! is regarding preventation of the domestic abuse against women in urban areas. One of the main features is the "Panic Response" where a notification will be sent out to her trusted people or NGO is a woman is in abusive situation.

Excalibur is from UTM with Jovian Joris Tan, Hendra, Nur Anis and Tamimi in the team.

Their project known as Embrace where it use to aim to sustain the environment by promoting "Recycling Culture" in the same time imbue the habit propers waste disposal among the locals.

Asia Science members are Named Mortaji, Perinba Selva, Krishnashree and Ali Arabzaseh. They are from UCTI too.

They come out with their project name : Power Transmission Automation where it enterprise system that manages transmission of power substations. 3 major part are divided in this project which are : Desktop Application, Azure Application and Thin Client Application.

KCast is from KDU University College. Members are only 2 which is Khor Ruin Yen and Chua Yin Fu.

Their project title is Network Broadcast Projector. It is a broadcasting engine. The main objective is to digitized education especially in areas where costs rob the students of such an experience.

Next is Cyber Knightz from UCTI too. Their members are Tan Jit Ren, Chan Wai Lun, Ker Jia Chiun and Wong Mun Choong.

Health3 is thier project title where targets to improve the health of a cancer patient by using human basic need : food intake, exercise and emotional needs. Cancer patient can customize, deploy and start monitoring to improved their health and increasing their survival chance.

RGBY, not red green blue and yellow, is from UKM with Gooi Chun Aun, Heng Sua Yee, Ling Chee Yang and Yeap Chun Leong as members.

Their project knowns as Project Hive (not for Green Hornet :P) whereby users can use it to get into a queue for a particular service.

Today is the second day for Imagine Cup! 30 groups from various University/College had did their best and present their ideas and works!
